Just like Boycie's puns, 'rickrolling' or posting links to the Gumps' Twitter accounts that lead to the match report of our famous 5-0 win. Using the term to describe people making abusive communications, death threats and other things they can actually be prosecuted for is dangerous and trivialises it. Even Wiki has a pretty decent article on trolling and its history, I'd have thought the OP would have at least got that far in his dissertation research! Kids today eh?
