Ssausagehorpe United have signed Derby County goalkeeper James Severn on a free transfer.

The 20-year-old made one league appearance for the Rams and spent time on loan at Tamworth in the Blue Square Bet Premier in the 2010-11 season.

He spent the first half of this campaign on loan at Eastwood Town in Blue Square Bet North.

Iron boss Alan Knill released 10 players last week after the side finished 18th in League One.

Fielding and Lego are quality keepers, and then we have Atkins who is a talented player, even more so than Severn from what I can gather, then Deeney as well although he does seem to be pointlessly hanging around.

We also have Morch in goal who is incredibly highly rated listening to interviews from the club, even Glick has mentioned him.

Severn came in at a bad time, and its testament to him that he has got a league one club, a good league one club at that!
