Day
Carlos Tevez brought controversy to the celebrations during Manchester City's Premier League trophy parade on Monday evening by holding up a banner depicting what appeared to be a mocked-up tombstone for Sir Alex Ferguson and the legend "RIP Fergie". The streets of Manchester were painted blue as thousands of fans gathered to salute their heroes, 24 hours after they clinched the title. The occasion was one of joy but Tevez struck a sour note by holding up the banner referring to the Manchester United manager. The social networking site Twitter erupted as fans condemned the Argentinian's actions, describing him as a "disgrace to football". It is unclear where Tevez obtained the banner but he did not have it when he boarded the bus to begin the tour of the city centre at Albert Square. The meaning behind it could well be in reference to Ferguson's famous response to a 2009 question as to whether or not United would ever be underdogs against City. "Not in my lifetime," he said. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/may/14/fury-carlos-tevez-banner

uttoxram75
He could have waved an Argentinian flag. I'm sure the Man Utd fans have plenty of spare ones they could have given him. Ambitious
Tevez is a good fit for City, slags the club off for the most part of a years see's they're about to win a title does a little groveling and his fans favourite again. Says a lot about how their fans have changed their mind set, always USED to see them has a team of fans that just wanted to support a club, rather than a brand or a team desperate for trophies. uttoxram75
No better or worse than United. Atm City have less plastic, armchair fans than Manure...once they catch up I'll hate them as much.
Bris Vegas
Don't understand the knocking of City.. How else are they to win the PL? Ever since the PL was invented, the only way to win it is to spend money.. Stop living in the past thinking it's any other way. You need money to buy the best players, and the teams with the best players are the teams that win trophies.. It's simple really. As for tevez, the guys a legend.. He clearly doesn't want to be at CIty or anywhere else in Europe because he's a family man and wants to be close to them, but through pain and suffering, he came back to help them win the title.. He's a city hero, just like the rest of them..
blackNwhites
Surprise surprise. Maybe the fact that a team has had to spend in excess of £1bn in just 4 years disgusts some people, no matter how much they love football. A player who earns the wages per week that people can only earn in their whole life time, disappears to play some golf for a bit. I'm sure we'd all love to sod off at the drop of a hat to participate in a hobby every once in a while, but we can't. The guy can see his family any time, he can fly his family over any time. He signed the dotted line at the end of the day. How long was his contract? 5 years, so he's got 2 years left. No loyalty in football these days, to much money involved. Sickening really. Pretty sure football would survive without this amount of money invested in it, could be invested in many other things that have a lasting benefit to society. Bris Vegas
Football is a business.. Plain and simple.. No loyalty? What is loyalty in a company? No such thing.. The guy signed 5 years that means Man City have him contracted for 5 years, meaning no-one can get him for free in that time.. If Tevez leaves, he buys out his contract or he's sold.. He goes training, he plays football matches, Man City win, job done.. Oh and he earns more than 99.9% of the average person because he has an ability better than 99.9% of the people.. If you're the best, you're paid top $$ to fall in line with the business.. It's simple really. He deserves his money for having that ability.. Before anyone uses a doctors analogy.. Doctors are 'highly trained' proffessionals who do a fantastic job and deserve good pay.. But they're trained to do that, and you can study to be a doctor.. No matter how much training and studies you have, 99.9% of the people will never have the ability of Carlos Tevez or Balotelli therefore they simply earn more money for the overall business therefore deserve to be paid top $$. Plus they're icons known all around the world..
ramexpat
Hes a disgusting man , refuses to play half the season, then celebrates like nothing happened, then to top it all off he insults the one man in world football who has earnt respect ,, Tevez is a complete and utter vvank3r

Pearl Ram
As for tevez, the guys a mercenary little scrote.. He clearly doesn't want to be at CIty or anywhere else in Europe because he's a family man and wants to be close to them, but through pain and suffering, he came back to help them win the title.. observer
City should show they are a top club now and get rid of him rather him seeming to think they need him, man city are no different to man u, except man you bought players over a longer period of time, Tevez wouldnt be upset if he fell of that bus, NOT a good role model, man or person, as for all that family man BULL **** he will go to whoever pays him the most he has no respect for his employer or the contract he signed!!
