vicky-27
EXETER City’s Dean Moxey is the latest player to be linked with Derby County. The 23-year-old left-sided player – he can play left-back or left midfield – helped Exeter win promotion to League One this season. “I have heard all the rumours and I know that clubs have been watching,†said Grecians boss Paul Tisdale. “But there are no formal offers on the table and let’s hope it stays like that.†Grimsby’s 19-year-old centre-half Ryan Bennett – believed to be a Derby target – is not for sale, according to Mariners boss Mike Newell. The player has also attracted interest from Peterborough United. A clause has been triggered in Bennett’s contract which means he is effectively now on a two-year deal. vicky-27
Dean Moxey (born Exeter, January 14, 1986) is a English professional footballer who currently plays for Exeter City. Moxey is a winger who plays primarily on the left side of midfield, although he is also able to play as a left back or full-back. He has been capped by England at semi-professional level. Moxey, began his career as a trainee with Exeter City. Upon their relegation from the Football League in 2003, many senior players departed, giving Moxey and other trainees their share of first-team action. Dean was considered one of the best youth players to emerge during this period. Since his debut on 18 October 2003 against Conference side Woking, Dean has established himself as a first team regular. On 8 January 2005 Moxey starred in City's 2005 FA Cup run against Manchester United at Old Trafford, where the squad earned a 0-0 draw, and a replay at St. James Park. It was Moxey's stunning 50 yard goal against Football League One side Doncaster Rovers that had helped City into the third round. In 2007/08, Moxey turned in a man of the match performance at Wembley to help Exeter City win promotion through the play-offs back to the Football League. At the age of just 22 years, that Wembley appearance was Dean's 150th for his home-town club.

vicky-27
EXETER City have warned Derby County they may face competition in their bid to snare Dean Moxey. The Rams have lodged a six-figure bid to sign the 23-year-old. City bosses will not be rushed into a decision to ensure they receive the highest possible amount for the utility player. Sporting director Julian Tagg confirmed that a bid has been received from the Pride Park club to sign City youth product Moxey. But he says that other clubs have also expressed an interest in the left-sided player and the Rams' offer could spark a bidding war. "We have received a bid for Dean from Derby County," said Tagg. vicky-27
Reports from local papers in Exeter are saying that our opening offer for Dean Moxey has been rejected. An offer of around £200,000 is believed to have been our opening offer for the 23-year-old, which has been rejected, according to those reports. vicky-27
Exeter City manager Paul Tisdale has declared that he would allow Dean Moxey to move to Derby County but only if the price was right. The defender has impressed Rams boss Nigel Clough with his performances after he played a key role in the Grecians' promotion to League One this term. Derby have already had one bid rejected, thought to be in the region of £200,000, and Tisdale is unsure whether the Championship side will table another offer. Moxey has made no secret of his desire to play at the highest level possible but his manager insists he will not be bullied into a quick sale. "I've got no problem with Dean leaving, as long as we get a good deal for the club," he told Skysports.com. "It's not a case of holding on to him really, but more a sense of getting good business out of the move.

vicky-27
DIRECTOR of football Steve Perryman says Exeter City and Derby County are still locked in negotiations over midfielder Dean Moxey. An opening bid from the Championship outfit of £200,000 plus add-ons was knocked back by the Grecians. But Perryman says the lines of communication between the two clubs remain open. He said: "It's still ongoing at the moment. "They are very nice people to deal with at Derby â€â€ it is a very respectful club."
