DerbyshireFox
I`v been keeping tabs on this game for the last few hours, cracking effort. And Leicestershire are doing you a favour by giving Hampshire an unexpected dicking too.

-JW-
Only 25 runs away from a world record 9th wicket partenrship set over 100 years ago by 2 Derbyshire players.
StaffsRam
Let them go out tomorrow and swing the bat for half an hour and hopefully pick up another 50 runs and then get Northants in quick. If we can wrap them up quickly and claim the win then I think we're almost there.
bcnram
Amazing turnaround, I think that they will at least let them go out tomorrow for a while to have a go at getting the World record. It is only a couple of years ago that Tom Poynton was playing for the school team at Repton.
p.shilton
I am ashamed to say that I was informed of Derbyshire's great efforts this season today by a lad from Kent! Well done Derbyshire, it is in your hands but whatever happens now you have had a great season- am I right in thinking that Don Amott threw his toys out of the pram and has nothing to do with the club anymore? StaffsRam
Noooooo! 514-9, Poynton goes for 106. World record fail, but what a fantastic knock! Madsen 226no.

Well he stepped down as Chairman, but I'm not sure whether he's still involved with the Committee or not. Nice quote at the time of his stepping down though; Only one thing is now certain and this is that Amott's time as chairman is up but he says he leaves Derbyshire a lasting legacy. "This club is going to be financially secure for another 100 years and I can be proud of that," he said. "I think we will know in the next 12 months what a great job I have done. That's what I leave behind."
