Subman
During the trip to Bristol city I was informed by a Bristol club official that next season the football league would be reverting back to seven subs. Can anyone confirm this or heard the same? I believe this would be a good thing.

CumbrianRam
The majority of Championship clubs wanted to keep 7. but L1 & L2 wanted to revert back to 5.
Phoenix
Have we got 7 (adequate) subs?
Emjlc02
I dont know why 5 isnt enough to be honest. Has 7 subs really made any difference apart from keeping a few squad players happy
uttoxram75
Back to 7 I say..............It would give us something to moan about if we didn't have a full quota. uttoxram75
Should be two.
Asanovic
Should be two. Does that mean 'it used to be two'? 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

rsmini
There was a meeting about this a few weeks ago, as many clubs complained that 5 subs was to restrictive and many players were left on the sidelines because of the 5 only rule. I dont know the outcome though

So you're saying you should be able to use the number that you put on the bench. So it doesn't have to be two, I guess. Used to be three when I was a kid, and you could use all. I'd go for that. MuespachRam
The only reason there is 7 subs is so 7 men who arent good enough to play in the first 11 get their money and dont get all mardy about not playing. 2 is ample subs.
