Jamie Ward- Striker?

Have been wondering what position Jamie Ward actually plays, is he a left midfielder or striker? I am sure he was billed as a striker when he first arrived but has been spoken of as more of a midfielder since.

He has been much less attacking in recent weeks and frequently back with the left back. On TID it says that he is a striker. A striker that has scored 4 in 33 games!

We have a very light weight front line at the moment, as Tyson still gaining match fitness, Ball gaining experiance, SD coming back from that horrific injury is going to take time to get confidence back, and Theo was never intended to be playing as much as he is due to our normal situation with injuries.

The age of the squad is great insofar as they can grow into a well run squad, however you are always going to get good, bad and indifferent performances as they come together.

I realise that we can't expect it all to gel straight away but expecting Tyson to be a CF just because he was at the beginning of his career is ridiculous. Ball is nowhere near good enough to be starting as CF week in week out. Davies is basically a bulked up winger who had a good start to the season but would have scored twice as many if he was an actual CF and Theo is far too raw. This leaves Wardie who may or may not be effective and Maguire who has had 1 good game and 1 poor game. They both need to be given a chance but something needs to change as we are not scoring

I'd prefer Van Persie. I reckon he could do a job at CF- has he ever ended up playing there for us during an in-game reshuffle or does Clough think that Barker is a better option?

Too lazy for clough.

Personally, I think Ward has more of a presence on the wing, he seems a bit lost upfront, especially with our hoof ball!
