I am not Evra's biggest fan but celebrating winning the game in front of Suarez was the only legitimate way he could say "IN YOUR FACE!!!" I am sure I would have been a bit more blatant about it, more like Keown to Van Nistelrooy.

How old are you? Moronic behaviour from a moron. Kids behave like that.

I was, Franny said it wouldn't have kicked off again, but he put his tongue in the gap where a tooth used to be, and saw red..

I'm sorry SB but if I had been racially abused, and then had my hand shake refused, I think an over exuberant celebration is a valid reaction as I am not sure I would not have gone straight through him on my first 50:50. Fair play to Evra for being so reserved.

I think Suarez was made to apologise JW - I don't think he's sorry at all.

I suspect that the orders for the apologies to be made have come from across the Atlantic. The story made the front page of the NY Times. It is nice to see that our ex-media man Matt McCann is being kept busy after moving from Derby to Liverpool.

At least common sense has prevailed in the end regardless of wether it was the owners who forced the apology from manager and player, or not, as the case may be.

Evra and Suarez need to move on from this incident, but I'm sure it will now be the regular pre-match discussion for the next couple of seasons. The FA should once again step in and show who runs the game, stanp out the stupidity and ban Suarez for another match.

The question I really have is are the FA serious about racism or not? If they are, then stamp it out by banning Suarez for another game and show that his behavoir WILL NOT be tollerated. The apology is an orchistrated after thought by Liverpool to try and rescue the situation from what was a pre-meditated action on the part of one of their players.

Sorry, there's no place for racism in our natuional game and unless Suarez tows the line on this, then there's no place for this gifted and talented footballer in our game either. A terrible shame really, but no one player is bigger than the game.

Suarez should count himself lucky, if there is overwhelming video evidence of him racially abusing Evra, that a prosecution has not been carried out by the police. If it was you or I in a similar situation we would be in court and facing criminal prosecution. He may think he is bigger than the game but he is not above the laws of the land. He is a luck lad that nobody in the crowd heard his comments otherwise he would be facing a John Terry situation.

The most contirived, forced and fake apology ever.

He needs banning, forever, as Ferguson said, he is a complete disgrace, and should never play for them again, for me it seems like he has found his rightful home, with a horrible boss and horrible fans to love him.

The players that were forced to wear the suarez t shirts must feel great too..!

Ban him forever, ban king dogleash for the rest of the season, ban their horrible fans for 10 games.

After some thought, just get rid of this handshake business all together. Its a contrived statement by the FA / FIFA about promoting 'fair play' and now being used as ammunition. At best the handshake is symbolic, and I think that most players just go along the line as quickly as possible.

Imagine if players had to do what rugby players do - flank the winning team and applaud them off the pitch. Yeah right.

My opinion is if they can't perform a simple handshake gesture then there's something very wrong somewhere. The sad thing is it's making English football look a bit of a laughing stock and that's a great shame.

Fair. I just think he rose to the bait which took him down in my estimation. Suarez did a good enough job in making himself look like a tool imo.
