There's been a lot of debate on twitter recently about the phone/taking photos/videos ban at gigs. I thought it was a great idea. Shame a couple of idiots in the audience didn't agree. I thought Matt Johnson's approach was better than that I experienced at Jack White recently, where everyone had to have their phone locked into a special pouch, slowing down the queues considerably. MJ just asked people to please stop shining lights in his eyes after three or four songs. And yes, his voice is still great and the stripped down band worked really well.
