Post any new bands, singers etc. who you tip for 2012.

Myself, i'm into indie/ rock 'n' roll.

So here are my tips:

Tribes - Most popular songs include; 'we were children' and 'sappho'

Howler - 'Beach S1uts' 'told you once' and 'black lagoon'

Spector - 'Never Fade Away' and 'What You Wanted'

Dog Is Dead (From dirty Notts.) - 'Hands Down'

Little Night Terrors (from dirty Leicester.) - ' Heaven ' and 'Whats your persuasion Baby'

Wet Nuns (Sheffield duo. Great name. Tipped by Arctic Monkeys) - 'Heavens Below'

Also, while not a new band; listen to Arctic Monkeys ft Richard Hawley - You and I..

I already love the older stuff mate;

Dylan, Guns 'n' Roses, the clash, the kinks, the who, Hendrix etc, etc.

I've got albums reaching back to the 50's and i was only born in '91!

It makes you feel high just listening to 30 seconds of pink floyd.

F'ckin hate Ed Sheeran. So many better singer songwriters better than he is who get no notice at all. Ladyram, not all music these days is *****, just the crap you get on the radio. Delve deep and there's some brilliant new bands.

I think that's my problem - I just don't want to find the new bands. Maybe it's just my age...

I could tell you my favourites from every decade since the 50's (not that I'm that old you understand 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':P' /> , it's just stuff I grew up listening to) and it's really diverse.

I love songs by Billy Fury (you probably won't have heard of him..

Elvis - who I think was brilliant

Anything Motown/Soul - as above - the Spinners were great, Marvin Gaye, The 4 Tops, The Stylistics...all brilliant.

From the 80's which was my era - Wham, Culture Club, Queen, Rod Stewart (Baby Jane especially)

I loved most of Jackson's stuff, particulaly the early ones and some Ozzie Osbourne tracks are excellent (especially the ones with Randy Rhodes - remember him campers)?

More recently I like Take That - don't do Westlife cos they take cheesy to a whole other level. They make me cringe.

The only really modern stuff I don't mind is Coldplay and the really catchy one by Ollie Murs, can't tell ya what it's called though.

For most modern stuff though, I just can't seem to relate to it 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wacko' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

There's been some top singers/groups over the years but god there's been some tripe too

Anybody remember Renee & Renatta? 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ohmy' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':o' /> Well dodgy them 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

We ought to start a thread with the worst music on it. That would be funny...

I could try & tell ya but I wouldn't know what to put 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> at a guess I'm thinking the hyperlinky thing is the little icon that looks like a chain with a lil plus attached? At the top of this reply box. 9th from the left of the row that starts with B and a slanty I and below the font size box. I think. I've been told to check it's on URL, whatever the chuff that means!
