most over-rated player for me, having to listen to it on this board day after day..

Billy frickin' Sharp!!

he scores goals, but he has never even played in the premiership.. and apart from score he doesn't do much else at all, so would know EXACTLY what fans would be saying if he played for us, just let it go.

Lee Camp? makes the occasional wonder save but fundamentals stop him from being a top keeper, he positions himself very badly, ward scoring the first at the city ground proves how poor he is, no keeper in the world should be beat at that angle, despite this gets called one of the top keepers in the division... Could say loads, only Cywka in our team can be classed as over-rated, although Ball is making a sterling job at it at the minute, but I'm sure the fuss will die down...

Just list players who (in your opinion are overrated)

Here are some of mine (there will be more!)

Kevin Nolan

Joey Barton

Jonny Evans

Matt Jarvis

Gary Cahill

Theo Walcott

Keith Andrews

John Carew

Jimmy Bullard

Tomasz Cywka

Lee Croft

Is Lee Croft rated?

I agree Beckham is over-rated, but still a very good player but never the world beater made out to be but he turned up in the important moments, and was/is good for England, there is so many though... so many.

Paul Scholes never as good as made out, was good but never agreed with him being called a great.

Jamie Carragher rightfully left out the england team, wasn't better than Ferdinand nor Terry.

Eric Cantona was good, but properly exaggeratedly over-rated.

Dennis Bergkamp same as above... technically brilliant, should of scored more though.

As I said there are so many to pick from, so many! David Bentley managed to get the nickname the new david beckham and that saw him play at a good level for a while before dropped and then playing in the championship, there are a few.

Would be harder to pick 'under-rated' players, for me I never EVER understood how anyone could rate Scholes higher than Lampard, bemused me.

Michael carrick should never be near the england squad.

Di maria for real madrid, never seen him do anything that I thought was any good, yet the commentators on sky love him?

Lassana diarra see above

Gareth bale he is good but not this world superstar that is the saviour of spurs and wales

I am sure I will be back with some more

I agree with that except Bergkamp. He was something special, he was more a creator than a scorer, and that goal he scored against Argentina in 98 WC. Wow.
