sage
Which do you think is the better centre back to play with Shackell?
Asanovic
I can't believe this is even a question! Barker.

jagerbob
I was starting to ask myself the question when , at the beginning of the season we played so well as a team. But since barker has been back, he's been derbys best defender. if theres any question (which there isnt) it would be shackell or OB.
ramesses
I’d go for Shaun (barely average) Barker 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
CumbrianRam
Bit unfair to compare a 19 year old to a player with 300+ apperances. Give OB time, he isn't the finished article yet, he wasn't meant to play so much this season.

Alpha
OB isn't as good in the air as Barker. His distribution is terrible and he is often guilty of naive diving in. But Barker has experience. He should be better. OB is alright for his lack of experience. Imo
Bris Vegas
Barker needs to work on his positioning and distribution.. He's a mountain in the air though, perfect for playing against the longball teams
twinkletoes
Waht about ob and barker????
SSD
OB has got the potential to play as good, maybe even better than Barker. However right now, Barker 110%. Experience and quality counts for everything as a CB 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
Alpha
Are Hull and Leeds long ball teams then Bris Leeds and WHU are. Hull though are a good footballing side. And Barker tends to look awesome under constant pressure. It's rare attacks where he gets caught out isn't it
David
If your captains fit and available for selection he should be the first name on the team sheet. Barker is our captain, fit and available for selection so Barker plays. Simples.
AndyB
Barker no doubt, but OB has time to improve further.
nfb
I wish OB a speedy recovery, until i see if he comes back the same player, i shall wait to comment.....
DcFc Dyycheee
Barker is our best defender by far, O' Brien is good, but not quite there
RotherhamRam
This is a bit of pointless question. Barker by far has to partner Shackell. Any doubts watch the last 3 home games along with today lost at Ipswich through a mistake by Fielding not the defence (by the way it was not a goal). It started at Palace the understanding. The defence is looking solid. So where is the doubt?

WorksopRam
Barker all day long. The amount of climbing on players he gets away with is ridiculous though, but I'm not complaining.
-JW-
Barker has won me over big time. Its because he is fully fit he and playing alongside an eually good cb in Shackell. He is our messiah, and thats not just down to the fact that he looks like Jesus
