Hucknall Ram
Huckleberry, if the stat is fecked, Look in the boiler where the stat connects to the control box, and short the 2 terminals together. This will simulate a call for heat, and prove if the stat is fecked or not. If you short out the stat, and the boiler kicks up, then the stats nacked. it's a wireless stat. Boycie
it's a wireless stat. It'll have a control receiver unit under or to the side of the boiler. With ultimately 2wires going to 2 terminals. Turn the boiler off, bridge together these 2 terminals and see if the heating works. Oh, and man up. Boycie
What do u mean bridge? How's the bricky course going? Ahem, anyway, link, short, join, connect, bridge.
Hucknall Ram
OK, Basically take the two wires out of the terminals, join the two wires and switch the boiler on? and see if the CH comes on
Boycie
Take the two wires out, then with a piece of wire join the 2 terminals together. Or connect both together in the connector block. Joining the out going cables together won't do anything. You are joining the two control cables together that disappear off to the circuit board. They are just two switch wires so won't blow up if you do this. All the stat is, is a switch, so you are just doing what the stat does by calling for heat when you connect both wires together. The control wires are probably both black. Just follow a cable back from the receiver unit into the connection part of the boiler. You.ll see the two terminals. Join then together. Turn off the boiler first though. Then back on after you have connected them together. All this is doing, is eliminating the stat from the equation, if it still dont work, then its in the boiler. Old Fart
When the heating goes off again check the green neon light on the boiler, if its flashing on and off the batteries in the wireless room stat need replacing.
