PistoldPete2
I think Phil Brown is unlucky here. Preston were dead and buried in the Championship when Brown took over, and its too early to say what will happen this season. Maybe unlucky at Hull too; got themn promoted and no surprise they went down ; only surprise was they stayed up for one year. Ok his singing and his tan is not great. The Derby job came too early in his career, Derby were too big a club for his first managerial role. We would have been relegated if not for Terry Westley
-JW-
They still should be challenging for the play offs in league 1 with their players.

smiffy
If you want it to be accurate then why not include his time at Burton? Simply because they do not count, no managers NON League career is ever included .

rams71
maybe Brown's been contacted by the FA to replace Capello and has decided to take a break before going to the Euros with Capello in an observing capacity... ...or maybe he's just been sacked cos he's a poor manager? RotherhamRam
Smiffy are you a Billy 'Silly' Davies lover. The man who brought Claude Davis as a prime example of a wase of money and the start of why we are in the ***** now. Brilliant manager. Did not want him here, wanted him less when he wished it was Preston who had gone up and hated him for buying ***** with the limited money we had in premiership and detest him after his time at Forest and his attitude towards us. So I know who I would rather have, may be there is a reason why he is not signed yet with a high end club as you obviously think he should be. He needs money and lots of it to do his job

Ambitious
Brown the man that offered Giovanni and Bullard well over 40k a week? we thought Jewell was bad for giving Savage 20k a week!
inglorious02
Phil Brown left Hull because his position became "untannable". Peter Ridsdale when asked about the reason for the dismissal said "50 Factors" were involved. Ambitious
I also agree with smiffy through gritted teeth, Billy Davies is a much better manager than Clough, I think Davies although he likes spending money, he gets the best out of average/**** players, both us, preston and forest have gone to **** when he went, with the same side still there. A really, really good manager. He would be the first man I'd want in charge if Clough was to go, but that would also make us a faceless club but at least we'd probably be in the play-offs without much fuss.
