RotherhamRam
I have just come across this article. Now I was at the Cardif game and did not know why the team was wearing black armbands and Cardif not. After reading this article it all becomes clear. The night before Billy played football for Doncaster only days after his son died. I can understand why he played as football is his avenue to escape the pain of this very sad event. He also wanted to score a goal for his son in memory and promptly dedicated the goal to his son. Reading this article it became clear that Derby (or should I say Clough who is very much a family man) decided to show their respect for him and honour his son in the only way they could. This is a both a sad story in respect of his son but also heart warming in that a club - and our club - are capable of showing their respect and support of a fellow professional be it within our club or at another club.
