WorksopRam
Because me and my mates are such crazy Mo'Fo's, we're wanting to go up the Lake District this weekend. Aside from the whole Vodka/Red Bull, busy club scene around youths these days, I much prefer good ales, premium lagers and nice food. Anyway, me being boring aside, does anyone know any decent places to visit around the Lake District for a weekend? Boycie
Ambleside is quite nice, a few nice pubs, bound to be some real ales, look up Camra on the net and search the area. Raite on the side of the big pond up there as well. Actually, no. It's near the side of the big pond Windermere.

Boycie
Gets busy though at the weekends. Not much snaatch though, unless you like a bit of snatch covered in north face clobber and holding on to a stock broker boyfriend.

ladyram
If you go and end up anywhere near a place called Pendle, or Pendle Hill to be more specific, keep your eyes peeled as it's the place where women were tried for witchcraft and where creepy happenings and hauntings occur. One evil old trout called Elizabeth Demdyke in particular (owt supposedly supernatural fascinates me). I'd love to go but not got round to it yet. Boycie
If you want a night out and be scared witless, I offer you Ripley in Derbyshire. Just make sure you carry your blood type with you.
