Let's not get too happy. Surely that means Football league games can too. Won't that water down the value of the rights and cut income to the football league clubs too.

Don't solidarity payments come out of the TV money too, this will have an effect on championship clubs too.

cumbrian we can write the debt off, if the government rights it off and starts over we can have the true game back 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':P' /> if they saved the banking system they can save our football clubs 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />

I've just blogged this. What an effort!

It's quite long-winded, biased and does rant towards the end but I hope you get the jist of it!

A lot of it's stuff you already know but necessary to make my main point.

Sorry, I'm still happy, if Prem TV rights money was cut by half and we lost all of ours, the FL would still be in a far stronger position. The slope of the playing field would be massively levelled.

All that will come from this is Sky developing the technology to block signals to non- UK boxes that are being used in the UK and things will be back to the way they are now. Only difference is they will generate millions from selling the foreign boxes before they block the signal leaving everyone with useless boxes.

after this ruling would it be be illegal for Sky to block signals to non UK boxes?

I don't see why, people are paying for a service that is supplied on contract in another country, surely it is up to Sky if they want to limit the service to that country only? It's like someone demanding that their 3 mobile phone works in Estonia for the same cost and under the same terms as it does in the UK- it won't and why should it?

"Now with the money of Sheikh Mansour funding the signing of players like Sergio Aguero and David Villa..." Villa plays for Barcelona, you mean David Silva.

"...and an umbrella of the world’s largest media conglomerate, News Corp." Walt Disney Company is the largest media conglomerate in the world.

Not being facetious just saying like. 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
