ccfc_forever
Hi rams fans, Im a cov fan, coming in peace, as you may know we city fans are currently in a bit of a battle with the owners of the club, whoever came to the ricoh on saturday may have seen the trouble in the stand opposite you (not the police incident) when our banners were confiscated for the second game running by our over zealous stewards and our fans chucked out of the ground. (also reports that a 16 year old was assualted by one of them), Our cheif exec Clouting has since come out on our official site saying this was because of 'fire risk'. We are pretty certain this is crap, he says all your banners that were on display on saturday had been pre-approved and fire check, again this sounds like more guff. Did any of you take a banner on saturday or know anyone who did and was this the case? As regards to the game itself, i thought you shaded the 1st half, it was never a penalty we all agree, but after that i thought we deserved the point... however had the penalty not been given it could have been different. your help would be much appreciated! SillyBilly
I reckon ours are all to the standard specified as we've had similar issues in the past. It is a complete joke though, I do agree. What is the deal with your owners? Link to comment https://dcfcfans.uk/topic/7491-just-a-question-about-your-banners/#findComment-204526 Share on other sites
ccfc_forever
where do we start, they took us over 4 years ago, promising investment, buying the ricoh and obviously premier league, it started off ok, we signed some promising players, Scott Dann, Danny Fox, Leon Best, Keiran Westwood to name a few, everything seemed to be on track, but then it all seemed to change, they started selling everyone, mortgaged the training ground, mortgaged future season ticket revenue, lied to the fans about meetings with the city council to discuss the stadium (which the council immediately refuted) now all we seem to do is employ new directors, sell or let our best players leave and get a load of bullshit from the board... 4 years down the line, we still dont own any part of the ricoh, have a tiny suad, still 30m in debt sisu say they will fund us untill the end of the season but this isnt coming from them like they tell us it is its coming from our only remaining assets. We had an investor interested but our chairman who lives in portugal and was at southampton when they went to the wall ruined it by breaking confidentiallity and dropping investors names live on the radio. Its now got to a point where because of the lies and the fact they are trying to oppress us from protesting against them its a us against them situation, tensions are high and they are making it worth with every press release that comes out Link to comment https://dcfcfans.uk/topic/7491-just-a-question-about-your-banners/#findComment-204527 Share on other sites
Bris Vegas
Your choices in choosing managers over the years is also terrible.. A train wreck.. Since Chris Coleman walked through the door for you lot is has just got worse and worse.. I mean Aidy Boothroyd, god, say goodbye to any decent/intelligent footballers you had.. Just like when Phil Brown ruined our George Burley team and Paul Jewell then ruined anything decent that Billy Davies did.. We were linked with Sisu around 2004 time I think.. Glad we avoided that one.. Coventry IMO have been a stalemate club for a very longtime.. Bad decisions after bad decisions and when you finally look like you're getting somewhere, something else pops up to put you firmly back to square one again. We're not too disimilar to yourselves.. Both clubs IMO are destined for boredom this season.. And both will probably finish lower than our sh*tty rivals (Forest and Leicester) to rub more salt into the wounds.. Why did you guys leave Highfield Rd.. I was there when you destroyed us 6-2, the last ever game, and I thought.. Why? Nothing wrong with that stadium. Like us, can't see you in the PL again for a very longtime.. JoetheRam
Doubt they all had fire certificates and if they did, I highly doubt they were checked - i'm pretty sure the big Super Rams flag is as that goes everywhere and even Sheffield Wednesday allowed that in. I had mine up last year and had it up no problem, and that's not fire checked. Took my new one on Saturday, but got in a bit late to put it up and then couldn't be arsed to do so at half time. Was asked when entering if it had any offensive language on it though. Total joke stewarding in the home ends - even our board/stewards don't try and stop fans putting anti-board/manager banners up at Pride Park. Supression of freedom of speech in it's crudest form. Glad your fans appeared to stand up for each other though when the stewards were in full flow. Dangerous
iu once took a home made banner to Pride Park telling Pickering and his board to go.A steward told me to take it down as he had been told to tell me.He then said take it round the stadium entrance at full time,as nothing can then be done.I did and my mum was delighted to see her old bed sheet on sky tv and in the Derby Trader. trooper
The big derby flag is fire certificated as is the Clough flag!!! Sheffield wednesday always seem to be the team that are arsey with flags, I used to carry the Lewis mighty derby county flag and Alvo boys flag ( till someone nicked em) and Sheffield wed were the only team that used to make me provide the certificates for them!!
