Boycie
I say. My lad fell off his bike while we were away last week. We were on a caravan club site, and he went down a grassy slope and fell off, braking his arm. Poor lad. Anyway, show me the money. Although there was a sign on a gate that leads into a play area that say's "No cycling" this sloppy bit was further on past the play area and also the gate was open so the sign wasn't actually facing you as you would have riden through it. Plus he's only 10. There was pain ( oh boy was there! ) but is there a claim? Link to comment https://dcfcfans.uk/topic/7449-compo-claim/ Share on other sites
David
I'd say this is more a case of parental neglect Link to comment https://dcfcfans.uk/topic/7449-compo-claim/#findComment-203110 Share on other sites

Leeds Ram
They would argue that the no cycling sign was for that area and therefore covered it boycie, in honesty it would probably be more trouble than it would be worth, nurse your lad better with plenty of tlc and chocolate breaking your arm is very painful but he will be alright in a couple of weeks. Not for me, as they take control of the paperwork. anyway, you're no help, keep the line clear for someone to give me some encouragement. davenportram
Probably, but it would be more hassle than it is worth mate, you wouldn't get that much and it would be hassle. the amount depends on the injury his lad suffered. i got more than i thought possible for a bruised leg You could argue that the signs were not sufficiently visible to warn of the dangers of cycling in that area - the camp sites neglect. the basis of my claim was poor lighting at night and it had been raining. I have recent experience of this and if you did try and claim it would be dealt with between solicitor and insurance company, it could take quite a while but mine was done in 6 months. WorksopRam
why was it their fault? Wet floor, no sign. Link to comment https://dcfcfans.uk/topic/7449-compo-claim/#findComment-203132 Share on other sites
WorksopRam
it's worth looking in to, only takes a few minutes on the blower. Was a long process for me, as my boss kept stringing it out on his side, but it's really easy to do and the solicitors that we ended up with through national accident helpline couldn't have been any better. RamNut
this is only going to end one way...... you'll get bitter, send yourself daft, end up marching back in with a kalashnikov, several hand guns, and some home made grenades.... after a lengthy shoot out, you'll get cornered. members of your family will be brought in to beg you to give yourself up. is it worth it?
