Hucknall Ram
Good win today for Burton but i can't help notice the demise/free-fall of Plymouth, empty stadium, no money, transfer embargo, I still think they are in administration, bottom of league two with one point, still think there have been a few times in the recent history that could of easily of been us, when with the 3 amigos in charge springs to mind. Think some of their fans want them to go into liquidation and start again, very sad, always liked Plymouth, best away support in the country imo. Leeds Ram
it is sad but they seem to be out of options in honesty, they should start again clean slate and see where it takes them. RotherhamRam
I too feel sorry I can remember the game against Plymouth back in the 1986/87 promotion season this was the last game and at home. They filled their end up in the baseball ground they were playing for a potential play off spot and we were playing for the title. Cracking atmospher cracking game cracking result as we won 4-2 beat Portsmouth to the title and promotion into the 1st Division. I remember the game really well as I was 10 and the first time I had sat down at a game and we above the old key club end. I kept saying champions all of the time and me mum and dad kept telling me to shut up. There was a bloke behind me telling them to shut up as we kept scoring when I said it lol. At the end of the game they stopped behind to clap theirs and our team off and joined in with the Derby fans. They had dipped out of playoffs and bearing in mind in 1the 1980's there was still crowd trouble there was none. We sang Cheerio to them and they waved back. :(I am very sad to see a team like them go down hill so far so quick and not see any daylight. I hope there is daylight some where along the way for the players, the managers and their fans. davenportram
Players got part of their pay. Their financial situation is about to be solved though. I think some guy us taking control of the club and ownership of the ground then he's going to sell the club (minus the ground) to Peter Ridsdale for a quid. Can see why their fans might welcome liquidation. Link to comment https://dcfcfans.uk/topic/7428-the-demise-of-plymouth/#findComment-202500 Share on other sites
GeneralRam
Just seen this - I’m sure we’re all aware of the plight of Argyle, and the amount of help they gave us (Brighton) in our (their) hour of need. I think it’s time to repay that favour and declare their home game on the 24th September as FANS RE-UNITED DAY. They are in real danger of them going into liquidation. This would then mean our friends down the road would no longer exist as a team. The knock on effect throughout the football pyramid would be immense (although certain teams will feel immune from it). Their players have taken a 60% paycut to ensure the team can survive for another few weeks. We, the fans of the sport, need to show solidarity with their team. We need to rally the troops and take as many as possible down there to get behind Argyle. Take anything you can that will make a lot of noise down there. whistles, rattles, vuvuzelas, anything that’s legal in a ground and will get heard. Let’s make Home Park the noisest ground on the country for this day. If we (Brighton) could pull off a Fans United Day before the internet was a huge as it is now, can you imagine the potential now. Wear your colours and show them how much support they have. Please, if you’re registered on a different football forum, copy this into their forum. We need to show the country how corrupt Risdale is. Saturday 24th September is Fans re-united day @ Home Park If the trains weren't so damn expensive Id love to go tbh.
