well guys i did tell you in my first post that bryson would be a real player for u lot and its no coincidence that the game he was rested in ,home to shrewsbury that you lost it ,how for the life of me hes not in the scotland squad is beyond me as we are not blessed with players that put as much into a game as craig ,his workrate is fantastic and he can play as well

He was the signing over the summer I was excited about the most. In the games he has played his tireless running has denied the opposition time and space and he has even chipped in with a match winning goal. He has taken to the championship like a duck to water and at 24 he will only get better. I think Jason Shackell has been fantastic for us but I still think Bryson is our best signing.

i was pretty much in the dark about the guy until every footy fan i know up here started telling what a player we had signed. they waxed lyrical about his passing and his work rate and i can see why! he literally never stops! what impresses me as well is he doesn't drop his tempo at all, its 110% for as long as it takes. i've noticed him more and more as the games have gone on and he is getting more involved with play. I still think he is settling in and will get better but he is filling that advanced midfield roll very well indeed as it gives him licence to charge around the pitch and leave bailey and hendrick mopping up the odds and ends. my biggest worry was his size but it seems (especially at blackpool) that when the ball is on the floor his turn of pace over 10-20 yards is so quick that players don't get enough time to pick a pass and end up going backwards.

Bryson seems to break the rules i was always taught in football that people get tired but the ball doesn't! i'd hate to play keep ball against him!

Fair point about bryson missing the shrews game.

More to the point, Pearson played... when he plays in the centre derby struggle.

Its no coincidence that derbys purple patch last year was when pearson was injured and the minute clough brought him back was when our neat passing game started to twindle as pearson started giving it away on a regular basis.

Anybody know what contract we have him on?

Hopefully its a long 1 as if we continue to impress (Dare to jinx this) and are competing near the top we are more than likely goin to be getting Premiership scouts coming down to have a look......

Ill be suprised if Brayford is still with us in 2 years time aswell

if we do well clubs will be sniffing around all our good young players

fielding, brayford, shackell, obrien, bailey, etc etc

but the whole point is to have a squad that can develop together for 2 or 3 years.

bryson is doing well but we need to see more creativity yet.....a bit more bueno type creativity would be fantastic.

Bugger off you miserable owd sod. 4 wins, 4 games, its impossible to do better. I would love to see creativity like the Brazilian 1970 team or the Dutch Masters of 1974, but realistically, this is as good as its gonna get without spending silly money.

The reason why it seemed boring against Donny was because we controlled the game so well. We never looked like we were gonna give a daft goal away. After the last 4 years that's a massive improvement.

i didn't think it was boring v donny.

3-0.

kin brilliant.....maybe overdid the going for the corner bit though just a tad.

I thought it was a little, alot of patches where both teams were trying to play football but it kept being cut out, so there weren't that many chances to get excited about.

Not moaning either, very happy with the performance and win, just wasn't the most enthralling game we're likely to see.

so you'd have liked a bit of bueno type creativity then?

QED

Wasn't anything to do with missing a Bueno, it was just a 'on-off' game. We had the first twenty minutes scored, threatened a little, they had the next 25 minutes without creating anything. Then second half aside from our goals were there many chances? I can't think of any aside from Lalkovic shooting from a corner and Theo turning and shooting about 75 mins in.

It was a game of few chances, and two teams trying to play football but not always getting the fluency. It will always result in a less exciting game when that happens.

A creative type would have given some more excitement yes, Barnes was the only one who looked that kind of player yesterday. (Gillet looked useful too) But overall, the game would've played out in the same style.

I had to convince the reporter from The People to give him a '6', nevermind MOTM, he was going to give him a 5 as he didn't think he'd done anything

Nice bloke, but his ratings were a little off to say the least.

He's the type of player that goes unnoticed by some - you have to watch him to realise how good and effective he is. He will only get the plaudits from those who are familiar with him and his game or those that really know something about football (beware the scouts) so that explains the People's journo. Bryson is a player I am extremely excited about - he gets busy doing the simple basics sooo well, an engine that'll run all day long. Great addition to the team

Its all good at the moment.

What pleases me is that we are doing the basics well.

We defend, we score from set pieces, we don't give silly goals away.

And we pass to each other.
