They think Shackell will do very well as will Bryson. They also say that Nigel has still a lot to prove. p.shilton Posted August 10, 2011 Share Posted August 10, 2011 Not if they play like they did tonight- I am not too bothered as long as we finish far enough away from the bottom 3. I'd take anything above 17th. All these people thinking we should be challenging the top 6, why should we? We haven't spent much money and a few other teams are spending huge amounts. We may as well keep our heads down, slowly improve and when teams have stopped chucking cash about in a few seasons we'll be in a good position to challenge at the top. When I read the team sheets of every team I would be very surprised if we can be better than 14th. Although names on the paper does not guarantee anything as we saw last season with Boro. The magazine did also mention that our goal scoring ability looks a bit weak. After yesterday I am starting to wonder how many times we will be able to keep a clean sheet. nfb Posted August 10, 2011 Share Posted August 10, 2011 On paper we have a very decent looking back 4 when all are fit, with some cover, the problem as we all know is we lack - defensive midfield/creative midfield/'talismanic' striker ....
