Where do Derby rank in overall stats compared to other Champ sides?

Obv Florist should be bottom but it'd be unrealistic to have both WH and Brum top by some distance

In a week most of the better players won't be at Brum anymore. A couple will be gone from WHam as well. So, there won't be much of a gap.

How about people guess ratings so I have an idea of what you think they should be? But i'm sure you will all be happy with them!

I would say minimum and maximum for our players

Goalkeepers

Frank Fielding - 68 < 73

Adam Legzdins - 60 < 65

Stephen Bywater - 60 < 65

Saul Deeney - 55 < 60

Defenders

John Brayford - 68 < 73

Shaun Barker - 68 < 73

Jason Shackell - 68 < 73

Mark O'Brien - 64 < 68

Kevin Kilbane - 64 < 68

Gareth Roberts - 64 < 68

Chris Riggott - 64 < 68

Russell Anderson - 64 < 68

Jake Buxton - 62 < 66

Chris Jones - 58 < 60

Dean Leacock - 62 < 66

Midfielders

Ben Davies - 66 < 70

Craig Bryson - 68 < 72

Stephen Pearson - 62 < 66

Jeff Hendrick - 64 < 68

James Bailey - 68 < 72

Thomas Cywka - 66 < 70

Lee Croft - 66 < 70

Paul Green - 68 < 72

Dave Martin - 62 < 66

Miles Addison - 64 < 68 (at Barnsley I know)

Attackers

Nathan Tyson - 66 < 70

Steve Davies - 68 < 72

Jamie Ward - 66 < 70

Chris Maguire - 64 < 68

Taking a rough stab at the ratings, i'll go with.....

Goalkeepers:

Fielding - 69

Legdzins - 64

Bywater - 64

Deeney - 58

Defenders:

Roberts - 62

Kilbane - 63

Shackell - 70

Barker - 70

Brayford - 71

O'Brien - 62

Anderson - 63

Leacock - 64

Buxton - 60

Jones - 56

Riggot - 69

Midfielders:

Ben Davies - 65

Paul Green - 65

Hendrick - 60

Croft - 63

Bryson - 68

Maguire? (I'll put him here) 67

Pearson - 67

Bailey - 66

Cywka - 68

Dave Martin - 62

Miles Addison - 66

Connor Doyle - 63

Forwards:

Tyson - 66

Robinson - 64

Ball - 59

S.Davies - 70

Maguire - 67

Jamie Ward - 71

Realise Maguire will more than likely occupy the AM role but he's mainly a striker, so i'll stick him in that section. Would be great if we could somehow get Mason Bennet in there (with a really low rating but great manager mode potential) but you can't have it all!

Also expect Taarabt to be rated about 78 at QPR which is way too high for him but they'll pander to the media anyway.

Again you are very close with most of them, but chris jones isn't that high ... not yet

And they have to be 17 until they can be in the game, so we wont see Bennett yet

Forgot quite how low the players on fifa could go! 56 is too high thinking about it 52 maybe.

And ah! I didn't know that.

  • 2 weeks later...

If player growth works correctly this year in career mode! We will have some very good players in Brayford and Fielding etc!

Seems like career mode will be loads better then last years, with player morale as players will now ask for a move away if they are not playing etc with different reasons there morale can go down which will effect there form so you have to something about it, which is good!

Deadline day will also be different, there will not be a clock coundown and you can see if another teams negotiations with a player break down and step in to try sign the player!

Just one more thing, one of our players (Maguire) has a higher rating in the game then I expected not too high but higher then a few in first team, unfortunatley I can't do anything about this as I haven't seen him play for us apart from glimpses in pre season, so i can't suggest changes to attributes!

Sorry if he is higher then the likes of Croft, nothing I can do about it atm!

However, remember its the attributes that matter not the overall as attributes determine the players style and if there correct it works well for e.g. Bueno on Fifa 11 wasn't very effective and his style wasn't playmaker but in the Jan update his playing style was much more like his style.

Does anybody really play career mode, I mean like really really play it?

Playing Fifa against a full team of bots is pretty duff

TBH I used to play a few seasons (maybe 4) in fifa 08 etc but i've honestly found the last few too simillar without much improvments and too many glitches, in fifa 11 after 1 season it would become so boring!

But I think this year it has all changed and i'm looking forward to giving it a go!

Also the youth academy feature should be good.

Being a bit more realistic there, fifa seems to hate derby and always gives them **** rating, i find it especially anoying on anyone who has just come from the academy, no matter what they will be **** :(

Played the demo.

If you didn't like Fifa 11, you won't like Fifa 12 - it's the same, but worse.

It's EVEN HARDER to score.

Merely keeping possession and getting shots on target is a challenge in itself too.

I think I'm going to have to neglect my total football style on this and play more direct tactics.

I love it, graphics seem to have been improved alot crisper now, new defending is pretty snazzy although I'm not sure shirt pulling should be included. Seems like it's more of a passing game rather than sprint down the wings and send one in.

Give it a week or so and a new scummy way to score will be found and we will all be waiting for Fifa 13.

Seeing as demo has been realeased I will give you some clues for ratings...

Our highest is ...... (that's surname for one of our players)

Most improved ........ (this player has improved a lot from FIFA 11)

........ And ........ Have the same rating

Lets see who can fill in the gaps :)
