Derby County have asked supporters to stay off the pitch at the end of today’s game against Charlton Athletic so the players and management can say thank you to the fans. “We are all very keen to come out on the pitch at full time and show our appreciation to the supporters, who once again have been the real stars of the season,†said manager Nigel Clough.

“Therefore it is critical that you all remain in your seats at full time and allow us the opportunity to say thank you.â€Â

A host of activities will be held before and after the game.

Music will be played outside Pride Park Stadium from 11.30am to create a carnival atmosphere on Rams Fans’ Day and there will be stilt-walkers handing out free t-shirts and goodies, and face painters who will set up outside the ground. This will be free to all fans.

The Academy teams from under-eight to under-16 will parade around the pitch from 2.20pm and there will also be a parade of past players including Dave Mackay and Ron Webster.

Derby-born singer Kev Moore’s CD will release in shopDCFC and to mark it’s launch, he will be singing one of his songs, Commons’ People, on the pitch at around 2.20pm.

Derby Tenor, Thomas Spencer Wortley will sing ‘Steve Bloomer’s Watching’ out in the centre circle at about 2.40pm.

Clough will present the young player of the year award and former Rams favourite Chris Powell will present the player of the year trophy in the centre circle before kick off.

The day will include the chance for supporters to have their photograph taken with the historic Steve Bloomer bust by the side of the pitch and young fans under the age of 14 can take a post-match penalty on the Pride Park turf.
