Having lost two good players, now the manager is talking with Cardiff, the Watford fans down here are not happy...............

Watford have given permission for Cardiff City to speak to manager Malky Mackay.

On Wednesday, the Hornets rebuffed Cardiff's approach to hold talks with Mackay, but access has now been granted.

The Bluebirds are seeking a new boss after parting company with Dave Jones at the end of last season.

Scottish coach Mackay now appears set for the vacant role, which will bring an end to his two years in charge at Vicarage Road as permanent boss.

Reluctantly agreed

Since taking over as permanent Watford boss in June 2009, Mackay has won 33 of his 99 matches at the helm.

Hornets chairman Graham Taylor told the club's official website: "We have reluctantly agreed to allow Malky to speak to Cardiff City.

"The owner spoke with the board members and following Malky's request to speak to Cardiff, we have granted him permission."

would he have gone if they held on to graham?

I think they expected Graham to go after last season but Will Buckley going to Brighton upset a few because he was a good youngster.I don't follow things too closely but friends who are Watford fans are not happy with the boardroom.
