vicky-27
Ipswich manager Jim Magilton sacked ! IPSWICH Town boss Jim Magilton's reign at Portman Road ended dramatically today as owner Marcus Evans wielded his axe. Magilton, who desperately wanted another chance to take his beloved Town back to the Premiership, paid the price for a dismal Portman Road season. Assistant John Gorman has also left the club. Owner Marcus Evans: “Today is a sad day for me. I've enjoyed working with Jim over the past 15 months and no-one has worked harder to bring success to Ipswich Town in that time. “Jim has passion for the club but unfortunately we have not made the progress both he and I expected this season. “I would like to put on record my thanks for his commitment to this football club and wish him every success for the future.†

David
9th in the table 2 games to play and 12 points from the play offs, I'd be happy as Larry with that.
vicky-27
Why is Larry so happy Why with two games to go though - you think they would of waited till the end of the season.
David
Doesn't make sense at all to sack someone with 2 games left, unless they told him he was going at the end of the season and took the hump and said he's off now.
