trekkie_ram
Read this today, not anything new really, would be happy to see him here, very plausible story (which is probably why it has recurred). http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1388533/Everton-want-sell-Joseph-Yobo-Yakubu-James-Vaughan-boost-summer-funds.html

GeneralRam
Wouldn't surprise me because when Clough wants a player he seems to stalk them for years
Srg
Ha, enjoy the stalk evaluation of Clough. It does seem our transfers are limited to who has played well against us, who has played under him and on a pal's say-so.

Where do Ward, Bryson, Rooney(Adam), Sammon, and Fielding fit into that limitation?
Srg
Where do Ward, Bryson, Rooney(Adam), Sammon, and Fielding fit into that limitation? Note we have only signed two of those. Doesn't change the fact that my comment was merely a jibe of what anti-Clough state.
Ambitious
I'd like James Vaughan here, think he has a lot to offer in this division.. He is built to be a complete striker, good all round player.. tall, quick, strong, agile but he doesn't seem to score enough goals, I think that could change give a full season. WorksopRam
I think with a full run in a settled squad, he could really fulfill his potential.
nookiebear
i agree he should be great but i cant help feel a little underwhelmed by this....maybe i just havent seen him play enough....if he signs i will cheer him on but would rather we got someone else in really

HenryKrinkle
I never saw any evidence of the blistering pace he is supposedly known for when he was here....apart from when he was scything down Brayford and getting sent off maybe!
Ambitious
Norwich just had a 2.5million pound bid accepted. That is some serious money for him, I'd be gutted if shelled that out for him in all honesty.
StaffsRam
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/13581063.stm Signed. 3 and a half year deal. Yesterday they were talking about Klose, today they sign Vaughan. Oh dear.

NorfolkRam
Decent player but 2.5mil is well over the odds and better spent elsewhere. Would sooner have Billy Sharpe for that sorta cash.

EastKentRam
2.5 million is an outrageous price to pay, what's he actually done in his career so far? His goal scoring record is poor, just cos he's got a bit of pace people start w*nking over him. Injury prone and everything to prove, good luck Norwich. VulcanRam
looks like a panic buy already, worth nothing like that. I'm quite glad he's gone elsewhere, he didn't want to come back to Derby when he had the chance and I've not seen anything of him to make me think he's great. Certainly not worth £2.5m I wouldn't have thought.

DCFC-2010
Vaughan clearly has potential, but 2.5m seems too much IMO. He scored 9 goals this season and Simeon Jackson scored 3 hat-tricks I think. Although Vaughan will more likley score more at Norwich than at Palace he is not an established premiership player.
