1m+ Striker article plus the other players mentioned by

...Clough.

---------------------Frank Fielding

John Brayford - Shaun Barker - A.N.Other - Gareth Roberts

---------------James Bailey - A.N.Other

----------Jamie Ward - A.N.Other - A.N.Other

Was surprised to see Roberts name mentioned, but that's 5 first team players left to fill if you discount B + S.Davies and S.Pearson (who aren't mentioned in the article).

Should be a very busy summer, and have no idea who we will be bidding for.

^^ That's true.

You know what that means though - Injuries to Brayford and Roberts leaves us with Green and Pearson filling in. Yikes!

How long is Green out for?

Could be why Buijs is lurking around the grapevine again. Isn't he also a defensive midfielder?

I don't think Brayford will be leaving, only been here a year and has a decent relationship with the manager. Doesn't have an injury record either, which is nice.

So potential partnership of Bailey and Buijs. Buijs the dirty work and Bailey the creator.

Theo Robinson without a doubt will sign for us, maybe not for first team duties though. One for the so called development squad.

Strikers. Who, just who, can we get for just over £1m. Danny Graham will cost about £1.8m at the least, Billy Sharp will cost more this season than last so i'm ruling them 2 out. Diordan from the Scottish leagues is available on a free (not, fee), other than that i have no idea.

Perplexed.

Striker for c£1m I'd imagine is either Waghorn, or Glenn Murray.

Bujis, would fill the role of experienced defensive midfielder and provide cover at RB - Providing his fitness is there then we should definitely pursue that one.

It wouldn't be Glenn Murray as he is out of contract at end of season.

Another one out of contract by the looks is Zoltan Gera from Fulham

Suddenly Glenn Murray being on our radar makes a lot more sense! :D

Let's face it, it'll probably be someone that not of us have thought about which will leave the obvious air of disappointment.

Glenn Murray, just been promoted from league one. If he has any sense he'll stay there. Norwich look to have achieved auto promotion. Leeds and Millwall have done very well this season.

Not that i don't think he can do it either, but i'd prefer somebody with either Premier League experience (impossible) or a lot of pedigree in this league.

Waghorn only joined Leicester was it last year for £3.5m, only scored 4 goals in 30 appearances since his permanent signing. Plus he acted like a prat at PP when we played Leicester.

So maybe looking at who QPR and Norwich shed as they look to strengthen for top flight football next season. Helguson from QPR? Throw Morison from Millwall in there as well, not sure how they are financially?

Pretty tough, unless they are looking over in Europe. Then i'm clueless.

Wayne Routledge.....just throwing his name out there because, very often has played for Premier League teams, but never sticks around. Lucky for Championship teams, we should loan him when he gets bored at QPR.

Better value for money on the continent apparently, but then you have the added dimension of whether or not they can adapt to the English game.

cody mcdonald

He's been on loan at Gillingham from Norwich banging in 24 goals and voted fans league 2 player of the year. My attention was drawn to him when i saw him score a cracking goal on sky sports news a few months ago. His price may have inflated as a result or norwich may keep him as impact sub for prem as has great scoring record although at lower league level.

Norwich plucked him from lower league and used him as impact sub for a bit before loaning him to Gillingham to gain experience. Wouldn't be surprised if someone like Reading buy him if they were to lose Shane Long. Think they were interested in him when Norwich got him.

Pherhaps Norfolk Ram might Know a bit more about him and his availabilty?
