the464444
There is literally nothing contained within that article that sounds in any way true. That just sounds ridiculously unlikely. Hypothetically, if that actually happened, what would be our thoughts towards Nige? I wouldn't be able to feel any animosity tbh.

Plan B
If he started doing a really bad job then I wouldn't mind as I don't want Derby to sack him but there is no way this is going to happen. Pesch is doing a good job there.

p.shilton
I hope this is true, but i cant see it. Really? You hope that our manager ditches us for a club that is just about winning the fight to remain in the league? I have two problems with this "story" 1. It's the Mirror 2. It's bullsh*t (see 1.) Ambitious
Without a shadow, one of the worst rumours ever posted in a paper.
CornwallRam
I hope that this isn't true. Although I would lose no sleep if Nigel were replaced by the club, for him to walk away now can mean only none thing - more cost cutting to come. Presumably Nigel still believes in his own ability. From his point of view he has done all the hard work of reducing the costs and now, if Tom Glick is telling the truth, he will be given the resources to add some quality, and in the process show his true colours as a manager. For Nigel to walk away from that position would only be an admission of his own inadequacies, or a realisation that he won't actually have any significant money to spend in the summer. desmond_tutu
Are the mirror still banned from Pride Park? For making up stories?
GboroRam
They are aware it's May 1st, not April 1st? That said, this is the People, so maybe it was written by someone who's not all that bright.
Sir Me
From what I understand from the people I know within the club, yes the Mirror are banned. I'm very surprised the club let Savage write for the Mirror but then they wouldn't want to compromise his media career.
Duracell
Does the article even both to mention where Pesch is going, or is Nigel just going to sit on top of him on the touchline or something? Even for the Mirror, this was ridiculous.

Duracell
Burton Albion have played 23 games, half a season, in three months, with a squad of 18. They'll be in League 2 next season. Pesch has done a good job.
