DCFC-2010
Hello everyone I was at the game yesterday and about 5 minutes in we saw saw a lot of stewards running into the east stand. We could then see the Ambulance performing CPR on someone for about 5-10 minutes. Today I was told that the man died of a heart attack but I am not definatly sure if thats the case if so then R.I.P Did anyone see this or know anything? WorksopRam
Thinking back, I saw a few st johns crew going up the east stand steps in the first half. Didn't look in a hurry though, so thought nowt of it.
p.shilton
I was still under the concourse and saw about 3 lots of paramedics with stretchers running through and up into the stand. When I took my seat in the East corner I could see that they were still working on someone for a good few minutes. It was around the halfway line in the first few rows of the upper I think. Hopefully they are ok but haven't heard anything.

-JW-
I sit very close to 2 paramedics right at the bottom in the east stand, stair 41. They were told by a steward to go to the stairwell to my right which I assume is stair 38/39. They came back about 15 minutes later and and they were quickly followed by 3 more paramedics who spoke to them for a few minutes and I heard they were asking if they were ok and if they wanted a coffee, and then one of the 3 paramedics said "you did everythng you could but its not looking good" I hope that makes sense and i hope this person makes a full recovery. p.shilton
Yeah, I have looked on the DET website but there is nothing yet ... I don't think there will be anything in the paper. An old guy died next to me in the concourse after a game a few years ago and never heard anything. It's probably at the family's discretion. DCFC-2010
Oh hope the person makes a full recovery. I heard the person had died but you can't go on what you hear, I am sure there would have been a statement on the Official website or on the PR system if the person had past away. I didn't find out until some weeks later when it was in the programme that he had passed away
WorksopRam
Why would they put it on the PR system?
ladyram
That's awful news - let's hope whoever he/she has not passed and makes a full recovery.

jagerbob
yes sorry my crude joke was not to say pearson was shocking, but more the fans would be dieing of shock in how well he played. Nice to see him skin connolly for the first!

WorksopRam
they offer sympathies from the club and to let the fans no the sad news Yeh, but come on. As if there and then, during the first half of a fiery encounter against Leeds, they'd announce that someone had just died. That'd be preposterous.
