North Stand Block A Season 2011/2012 Official Thread

Hi all,

As the season is starting to come to a close now and season ticket packs sent out in the post etc its time to remind everyone about our area.

Since we started in the North Stand Block A I would like to think we have come on bounds in what we set out to achieve and with the number 1 aim being to improve the atmopshere at PPS I think its fair to say we have played our part. The game against Ipswich I think its fair to say we really made our mark in terms of noise, from where we were it was like we outsung everywhere in PPS and if I recall the forums at the time were buzzing about it all.

Who can also forget the game against QPR where we drew 2-2 at home after conceding two late goals, this also happened to be the game where we unveiled the "Class of 72" flag, a flag which now joins the giant flag home and away. This was an expensive purchase by the co-founders of the North Stand Block A that had not been previously fund raised.

Anyway roll on 6 months or so and we have now purchased 200 black and white scarfs that will be loaned out to each North Stander Block A per game, if we cant be the noisiest we sure as hell will make up for it in a visual effect.

By this post we are not after praise but more of a commitment on behalf of other supporters to join in and make a difference. Many have moved over for the odd game in our area and have really enjoyed it, so much so that they moved their season ticket over.

If YOU are serious about adding to the atmopshere and can sing, bounce and scarf wave for 90 minutes then please move over to the North Stand Block A next season. We dont want fans that cannot commit to the above, if you want to enjoy and be amongst the atmopshere the North Stand Block A is not for you, if you want to be PART of the atmopshere then it is the place for you.

If you still havent made your mind up either cast an eye over to our area during the remaining home games or come and move over for a game and see for yourself. You can do this by either emailing me at webster23@hotmail.co.uk or going down to the ticket office who will move your season tickets over for a game.

The North Stand Block A has a different mentality compared to other areas of the ground, we dont boo during the game, whether that be against the manager or board, save this for after the game should you wish. We SUPPORT the lads for 90 minutes!

So interested??? If so when you complete your season ticket pack you can request North Stand Block A, rather than wait till relocation week you will automatically be reserved a seat with us at the back as we have it reserved. If you are in doubt please go down to the ticket office and they will arrange for your seat to be moved to our area. Same again if you have any problems please email me at webster23@hotmail.co.uk and I can sort it for you.

Any new season ticket holders interested in purchasing for season 2011/2012 in our area I can get you a mates rate price which is the same as the renewal price for current season ticket holders. This is must be before 15 May 2011 and as before you will need to get in touch with me so I can pass on some details for you. Email at webster23@hotmail.co.uk

Up the Rams and if there was one thing to remember we have control over, its pride on the terrace!!!

Nick

So I just take my season tickets to the ticket office, and ask them to move us to block A, with you orrible lot. What about the couple of season tickets that are North lower? will I have to pay extra?

Sorry - should pm you really.

Can I just say Nick from a Posh East Stander point of view that there have been times this season when you guys have been one of the only positives to take home from some rather dissapointing results.

Ipswich is one game where the good atmosphere was almost entirely down to you. In that game in particular, you were very very audible. It makes Pride Park feel more like a home.

I would move over but I've made life-long friends in the East Stand and it's where my dad likes to sit. But they're all getting on now, and when they're all too old to go, then I'll make the switch.

I hope you guys can also get some flags/banners etc where you are. I appreciate health and safety regs are a booby these days, but I see you as our clubs' Ultra, about time you started acting like one ;)

Hi mate,

The original plan was for flags/banners in seating area but like you say we are restricted by health and safety.... Not to say we cant do other things though.... Watch this space....

With the purchase of "Class of 72" flag it hit our non existent budget already so hopefully we will raise some funds for next season and purchase a few more banners....

hi all, first time poster here. I am very intrigued by the barmy army, I would love to see that block full on matchdays and I wish you lads all the best. How many people do you expect to permanantly move to block A next season.
