Mary Hindge Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/9428748.stm Spurs v Real should be a cracker at least we will have one team in the semi's with Man U v Chelski, still think Barca are going to win it like.
EdinburghRam Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 Reckon that means there will definitely be an English team in the final (Inter and Schalke really haven't impressed me at all. Can see Spurs beating Madrid, and think Shakhtar will have a decent chance against Barce, who seem to be slipping recently. I'm going for an all London final
Dangerous Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 Barca (who are slipping ??? ) shouldnt have any probs.Real in the semi will be testing if they get past spurs which i expect them to.I fancy Barca to beat chelsea in the final.
Mary Hindge Posted March 18, 2011 Author Posted March 18, 2011 Inter have improved quite abit since Leanardo took over, hell of a come back again Bayern dont forget and although I said Barca will win it will be very tough going to Shaktar who good at home, i'm going with a Man U v Barca final.

The only game that i think has a certain result is Chelsea beating Man Utd. I don't think Utd will win the league either. One or two injuries/suspensions and their squad will be exposed......fingers crossed anyway
mcsilks Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 I think Mourinho will have a say in who wins this. His record is incredible and as much as I don't want his Real side to beat Barcelona, I just have a feeling about them this year. That being said, they did get hammered by Barca in La Liga. Madrid v Inter for me in the final.

I just think their form isn't as good as it was a few months ago. Their results against Arsenal show there not invincible and I just think Shakhtar have a decent chance against them. If I was going to put a prediction, rather than a hope I would say a Barca-Chelsea final, and I really think Chelsea would win

dcfcdavecov Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 Ok, loser changes avatar to a Forest badge......so i would get meself on google images now if i were you

One or two injuries/suspensions and their squad will be exposed......fingers crossed anyway they've already got one or two injuries, they've only got 4 fit defender and two of those are left backs. All that and they still managed to comfortably beat L'OM. Arsenal are bottlers, United for the double, Chelsea for the Champions League
dcfcdavecov Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 Yeah one or two more injuries wouldn't hurt then . Would love to see Carrick/Fletcher/Gibson trying to create goalscoring chances against Chelsea. Smalling has done well, but Drogba/Anelka/Torres will be too much i think.

Bris Vegas Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 Barca (75%) or Real (25%) for me.. Both would wipe the floor with Man Utd.. Chelsea would be a tougher draw for them, as they're more direct and IMO have better players on their day than Utd. Problem Mourinho has is he's a brilliant defensive manager.. With Porto and Inter he built them up to be hard to beat.. With Chelsea his first 2 years he had players who would work like trojans and be hard to beat.. As soon as the stars.. (Ballack, Deco, Shevchenko, Malouda) walked through the door his 'team' ethos just went, hence why he left.. He faces the same problems at Madrid.. Ronaldo, Di Maria, Kaka, Higuain, Ramos, Benzima are all stars.. Hardly team players.. He can't go defensive against Barca, not with this team.. Hence why they got destroyed 5-0. And Pep Guardiola is the best attack minded manager in the world, better than 'conservative' Fergie. I'd tip Barca all day long.. But should Mourinho pull off a masterstroke and beat Barca, I'd fancy them in the final against whoever.. Also one last point, to the person who said Barca are slipping. 8pts odd clear at the top of La Liga, Final of the Copa Del Rey and 1/4 of the Champions League.. Just because they lost (unfortunately) away at Arsenal and drew 1-1 away at Sevilla doesn't mean they're slipping.. They have a much better chance of winning the lot than Arsenal did put it that way.. Nasris quadruple comments still makes me laugh!
Alph Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 I wouldn't forget completely Inter. Doubt they will win the CL...... but i think they will brush aside Shalke over 2 legs. Then whether it's Chelsea or United they face...... well i'd fance Inter to win at San Siro. I think Inter's squad is stronger than Uniteds and Chelsea are going to have to play far better to beat them over 2 legs. It's not Rafa's Inter. This is an Inter side making a strong comeback and reaching their best at just at the right time. AC Milan need improve if they want to stay top of Serie A and Bayern Munich are very under-rated imo. For Inter to see off them shows a determination they lacked under Rafa. Don't see any English side stopping Barca. Needs a more technical and organised side in decent form. Spurs have the squad but not the experience. United don't have the squad and Chelsea are missing the form imo. Barca to win if they make the final v an English side.

Nasris quadruple comments still makes me laugh! by slipping I meant there not in as good form as they were a few weeks ago. They are only 5 points clear in La Liga, and I reckon Madrid could easily catch them. They deserved to lose away at Arsenal and were fortunate to win at home, I don't believe they would have won if it wasn't for the Van Persie incident.

Don't even know why I'm responding to this as it's pure wummery.. Lionel Messi scored a perfectly legit goal when at 1-0 to Barca.. At 2-0 the tie is over.. No team on this planet can come back from 0-2 at home to Barca to win the tie.. No team. Arsenal had 0 shots at the Nou Camp. 0 shots. They we're down to 10 men but it made no difference, Barca were walking through them like a knife through butter.. The red card only made it more difficult for Arsenal to score.. Deserved to win and then unfortunate in the second leg.. You're a WUM if you honestly think that.. And by judging your other posts, especially concerning NC and the team, you love to be controversial and say things that are impossible to believe..

If Messi had scored would Villa have gone on to score, Nobody knows whether it would have gone to 2-0 or not. Irrelevant how many shots Arsenal had, they were drawing, that's all that matters. The red card changed the game massively, without it who knows what might have happened. If Barcelona were cutting through Arsenal like butter, why were they only drawing after 60 minutes. If you honestly think that the red card had no effect on the match then that's just stupidity. I believe a WUM is someone who deliberately winds people up, If I honestly believe it I am not deliberately trying to wind people up. I do believe it, If I didn't why would I write it, there's no enjoyment in annoying people online. I stand by Nigel Clough, think he's done a good job and hope he continues doing it for years to come. But that's hardly relevant
