Duracell
The thread title is the noise I make whenever I take my seat in Pride Park. Why? Is it the team? Is it the food? Is it the manager? No. It's not any of those things. It's the stadium announcer, the music, infact the whole PA system. Anything that bleats our of those speakers really gets on my batteries. Now, at 16, I really don't expect to lose all my hair yet. But this will be the case if this continues much longer. My main points of anger are these: The "COOMMMEEE OONNNN YOOUUU RAMMMSSSSS!!" whenever the players leave the tunnel - even if we're losing to Doncaster.Playing Pendulum or the Black Eyed Peas when the players leave the tunnel. I mean, what the actual f word is that all about?? It's not ice hockey, it's football. What was wrong with the Dambusters? It completely ruins the atmosphere.I don't think I need to say anything more than: "WE. ARE THE RAMS. THIS IS YOUR TWO MINUTE WARNING. THE PLAYERS ARE IN THE TUNNEL..." For crying out loud...The bizarre pronounciation of any names sounding even slightly foreign. My favourite was "Giles Suno". Erm, where's the "O" in "Sunu"?The PA is way too loud. You can't talk to the person next to you, let alone get a song going.Katy Perry - California Girls. That says it all. Maybe this is supposed to distract us from what's going on on-pitch? Anyway, rant over. Needed to let that out. Link to comment https://dcfcfans.uk/topic/5846-arghhhhhhh-stop/ Share on other sites

Stive Pesley
They played White Town the other week - for the first time ever. Surprising as it was the last number one from Derby Link to comment https://dcfcfans.uk/topic/5846-arghhhhhhh-stop/#findComment-143717 Share on other sites

martin
The PA is knackered too! It cuts out nearly every match when the guy is using the mic! Link to comment https://dcfcfans.uk/topic/5846-arghhhhhhh-stop/#findComment-143720 Share on other sites
MrOrdinary
One of the highlights of my visit is the music. Always picks some cracking ska/punk/mod/new wave tunes. Was talking heads at full time on Saturday. What a brilliant song. Although the mc guy is a bit *****. Asanovic
Pride Park has become an embarrassment - I no longer enjoy going. I've never heard it so quiet as it was against Barnsley. I was talking as I would in the office and I could be heard easily. Playing Pendulum was really cringeworthy. If we had a full house against forest it might work, but not now. There are basically only two areas of the ground that you can stand - North Stand block A and East Stand corner, and if you ever stand up when we are attacking, it's met with tutting or asking to sit down. For a 'big club', it's a joke of an atmosphere. The club need to get some promotions going to tempt some of the supporters that they have lost back. Whether it's £10 tickets for games like Barnsley, 2 for 1, whatever, it would help to bring the attendances up. Stoke - that really annoys me. They have a similar sized ground, but it's absolutely raucous. Yes they're in the prem, but it was pretty loud when they were in our league too. Are our supporters just not that good at being vocal? There are different ways to support your team, and no right or wrong way. Some pay money to observe a match, others to display passion towards their team. I just thought such a football city like Derby would attract a more hardy, passionate fan base, which it certainly has had in years gone by. New stadiums (Pride Park, Riverside, Ricoh), are the death of atmosphere at football matches. I just thought such a football city like Derby would attract a more hardy, passionate fan base, which it certainly has had in years gone by. New stadiums (Pride Park, Riverside, Ricoh), are the death of atmosphere at football matches. a) you obviously weren't at the doncaster game then b) you may have noticed where we are in the league, what has happened this season and the sort of football we are being forced to watch, particularly against Barnsley which was as boring a game as I can remember c) Derby, despite being large in numbers, are traditionally a quiet crowd. The odd match apart, when we really get going, that's the way it is. and before anyone goes on about the BBG, we all spent many games there where the atmosphere was as bad as it has been at PPS d) New stadiums don't kill the atmosphere, supporters make or break it. Southampton at home in the play offs, Man U in the Carling Cup, Forest at home? All brilliant atmospheres. e) we live in an age of all seater stadia, like it or not, so technically there shouldn't be any areas where you can stand. Alph
As long as there's no rap music i'm happy. There are worse PA guys. Some sound about as enthusiastic about football as i am about shopping. At least ours wants to be there! But i do agree with one bit. "This is your 2 minute warning...... The Rams are in the tunnel....." 1. It's never ever anywhere like 2 mins. Sometimes it's between 5-10. Sometimes 30 seconds. 2. Self explanitory Link to comment https://dcfcfans.uk/topic/5846-arghhhhhhh-stop/#findComment-143728 Share on other sites
uttoxram75
we should come out to this.... ALWAYS LOOK ON THE BRIGHT SIDE OF LIFE.... The Derby County story we used to dream of glory, the bald eagle and his team of skill and flair, Pride Park was shiny bright and the boys in black and white with the best in England could easily compare.... always look on the bright side of life... Memories may fade as we linger in the shade, but nothing can take away that sense of awe, when we look like going up, or have a good run in the cup, and the Derby faithful raise the roof once more.... always look on the bright side of life... So Appleby and Glick, we've bit our fingers to the quick, we've watched our famous Derby fade away. The meter's ticking on so sell to Peter or be gone, or spend some dollar from the USA.... always look on the bright side of life... There's no craft in the middle looks like we shop at Lidl, the squad is threadbare, shorn of skill and guile. Our decline we'll not arrest, if GSE do not invest, we'll be stuck in League one for quite a while.... always look on the bright side of life... Duracell
probably a low percentage but I'm saying what I would enjoy. Which is not as significant as what I would enjoy, because I represent more people's opinions than you, because I am more popular, because everyone likes rabbits Link to comment https://dcfcfans.uk/topic/5846-arghhhhhhh-stop/#findComment-143733 Share on other sites
