simon1
I am currently doing a football league survey. As your last away fixture was against Sheffield United could you please answer me the following questions: What was the stewarding like? Were they electronic turnstiles, or did they have a person working on it? What was the food pricing like? How were the home supporters outside the gruond? Many thanks Link to comment https://dcfcfans.uk/topic/5807-bramall-lane/ Share on other sites
WorksopRam
I am currently doing a football league survey. As your last away fixture was against Sheffield United could you please answer me the following questions: What was the stewarding like? Seemed a bit OTT to me; one refused my mate entry because he joked, saying that he had a weapon. Also, once buying a couple of pints inside, I was ID'd twice by some stewards floating around. Were they electronic turnstiles, or did they have a person working on it? Yes, electric, but they had a lot a stewards about the place. What was the food pricing like? Didn't buy any food, but I can guess that it was overpriced as usual. How were the home supporters outside the ground? Seemed friendly enough to me. Many thanks Done. WorksopRam
How were the home supporters outside the gruond? Ooh, there was one Sheff United fan giving it large to us away supporters in the escort to the ground. He gained a lot of abuse, a scare from a mounted copper and quickly scurried away. JoetheRam
What was the stewarding like? Might as well have not been there. Didn't pester anyone to sit down (a good thing), and although they tried to clear the aisles, had little success (again, a good thing). Threw one of our party out for smoking in the toilets, which if they'd have opened the doors and allowed him outside wouldn't have been necessary. Surely that's only worth a warning anyway? Otherwise friendly. It's the South Yorkshire Police who I hold the most contempt for. Were they electronic turnstiles, or did they have a person working on it? Had electric turnstiles, but had about 6 stewards around each one searching every other person - pretty needless. What was the food pricing like? No idea, didn't get any, but I suspect it was overpriced ***** as per usual. How were the home supporters outside the ground? Didn't get any aggro, although I wasn't wearing colours. When I asked one which was the away end, he pointed it out and was helpful enough. ladyram
Stewards: the guy at the gate was a bit brusque searching my bag but there were a couple of friendly female stewards inside. Turnstiles: about the norm I suppose, not very big though. Food: bought a hotdog each for the kids, which came in at £7 and they didn't come with ketchup. I didn't bother asking for any as I would have probably had to pay extra, there wasn't any on the counter I could just pick up and use. Home supporters: didn't have any contact with any, walked with rams fans to the car park and back and the police never bothered us. Just to add - Bramhall Lane has some of the worst toilets I've ever seen. Link to comment https://dcfcfans.uk/topic/5807-bramall-lane/#findComment-142301 Share on other sites
