Hucknall Ram Posted March 2, 2011 Posted March 2, 2011 Billy Davies has taken a swipe at Nottingham Forest’s board for not yet opening contract talks with him. The manager has guided Forest from relegation fodder when he took over in January 2009 to promotion hopefuls. If they win at Middlesbrough tonight they go third – so Davies took an opportunity to shine a light on his work after Sunderland boss Steve Bruce was given a two-year contract extension. Davies said: “It is great Sunderland have given their manager a new contract. “They have shown great faith in him. “Well played Sunderland. He has been given a new contract for his efforts and rewards for what he’s done. “I have a year to go on my contract. But at the moment no one has spoken to me about extending it.” http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Billy-Davies-has-dig-at-Nottingham-Forest-over-contract-talks-article709323.html

red fever Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 Why would they extend it, he'll be sacked when they bottle it come spring:D Ahh you think we are top 6 material
red fever Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 he has a 3.5 year contract untill the summer of 2012
davenportram Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 he has a 3.5 year contract untill the summer of 2012 In that case hes covering his bases incase he gets you promoted, so he has a longer contract and gets more compnesation when he fecks it up. And if he doesnt get a contract extension he will use the excuse "No support financial or emotionally"

And if he doesnt get a contract extension he will use the excuse "No support financial or emotionally" I can't complain, Davies was not my first choice for manager. However we have come a long way under his management. We play football & we are at the top of the table. The man is doing a great job. To be fair Derby were not ready for the Prem when he took you up. But I think you would be in a better place now if you had kept him in charge.
GboroRam Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 But I think you would be in a better place now if you had kept him in charge. It'd be hard not to be.
Day Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 Just to be picky but QPR are top of the table and Swansea behind them. Forest have slipped up again recently which I must say has put a smile on my face through these dark days.

red fever Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 Depends what he's doing at the time. armchair theater
Day Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 I bet my smile is bigger than yours Only because you have a bigger mouth than me, I'll have my smile throughout the summer tho when you crash out the play offs again.
red fever Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 Only because you have a bigger mouth than me, I'll have my smile throughout the summer tho when you crash out the play offs again. If you can smile after the season you've had good luck to you. Ah! the playoffs your the second Derby fan to say we will make the top 6. What happens if we get promoted, will it ruin your summer ?
Day Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 What's the alternative, cry? I'm sure you'd love that but I'm a man unlike those Forest woofters (*note to self, must find that picture again ready for the Play Offs) I believe you will make the Play Offs 1 - QPR 2 - Cardiff 3 - Swansea 4 - Forest 5 - Leicester 6 - Norwich If Forest were to go up it would be a win/win situation, if you fail we can all laugh again, if you go up you will provide my Saturday nights entertainment for a whole season.
red fever Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 Forest are very important to both of us. And we have a great manager who has been to the prem before
