just because we won on game doesn't make everything better, just like if we lose one game it doesn't make everything disastrous. I still want clough out because of his team selection, tactics and I don't think he's the right guy to take us forward but I do believe he should of been given more money to spend. Anyway great result today and hopefully we can get back to back home wins now!!

Look we beat Sheff Utd 1-0 aren't we amazing. All those people saying there was a problem were clearly wrong and are now shown for the idiots they are.

I imagine even the most ardent supporters of change at the club are happy with 3 points. But just as a 1 defeat doesn't mean disaster, 1 win doesn't mean the season is a triumph.

Both their reactions and your reaction are knee jerk. So a 1-0 win over a very poor Sheff Utd side suddenly means Clough is a managerial genius? I wish it did, but it does. I hope it provides a big enough springboard to survive and things change in the summer with investment and with Nigel proving so many of us wrong (because let's face it GSE and Nigel are going nowhere).

Rather than this "you're stupid" "no you are" type thing can we not all enjoy 3 vital points?

Don't care about this really but one thing to point out we have three 6pt games starting with Sheff Utd today. We then have Doncaster and Barnsley at home. Last two season we struggled against these three sides. but in respect to the first of the 6pt games we have won it. If we pick up wins v both of these teams we leap frog them and get further away from the bottom so for me this is the time to celebrate and get behind Clough and team.

The loan signings are starting to do what they did before. Ayala and Barker solid in defence. Robinson nicking a poachers goal, Ward showed signs on Tuesday with the half chances give him game time he will have opportunities.

Clough has the sense to put Hayes on hold until they know the damage to Roberts and looking at defense loan so his tactics are not that bad as he knows he needs someone there.

The other thing is this board has realised they need to bring players in and from what I can gather the only one that does not have a summer option of siging, out of the new loans is Ayala. You never know he may be back again next season as Liverpool will still have Carragher and two other Centre Halfs above him.

Not saying we have turned the corner but we are def turning into the corner. 5pts out 9 in last 3 away games when was the last time that happened. Need 6 out of 6 in next two games.

So he knew not to bring in a 5th striker when our only LB (as he sold the other one) gets injured. Managerial genius.

Like you say 1st 6 pointer in the bag, need more so let's hope for at least 4 points from the next 2 games. I think everyone should get behind the team during the game, think that people can then say what they want about the club after the game. During the game the team needs the fans to get behind them as much as possible, whatever your feelings.

Clough said post match that Preston wouldnt let hayes out at the moment anyway.

I don't think we need him, the two lads Ward and Robinson look good and Davies and Porter are options, although I don't rate Porter. I think the defence is looking more and more solid. Ayala and Fielding have helped there and hopefully Roberts will be back soon more in terms of getting Brayford back on the right than anything else. Midfield is a concern though, it's very basic, does nothing in terms of creative quality, this has been a problem over the last few seasons and really needs looking at for next season.

In the last 3 away games we have played 3 very poor sides. Sheffield United today were as bad as you will ever see at this level. Let's see how we go when we play the better teams.

If we approach next season the way we have the last two, now we have lost Commons getting other clubs cast off's on loans we will finish bottom next year. With loans the only good you get is like Ayala when you borrow a good player off one of the top clubs. Look at the others Ward rejected by Sheff Utd, Robinson by Huddersfield and Millwall. Can anybody believe they will be a long term solution? If they do surprise and do really well you are also open to another club coming in and offering more money or agent fees.

So all in all loans are not the answer and with at the moment us having only Barker and Brayford as what I would call good players in this division at the moment plus a few promising players who have been injury prone. With this situation we need 5 or 6 good signings in the summer with the deadwood clearing out as well Pearson, Green, Porter have had enough chances but are consistently average at best they need the Moxey treatment.

Nigel Clough needs to come out as soon as we get the few more points we need, hopefully this week and tell the fans what the plans are for next season (no good coming from Glick) nobody would believe him. With the club looking for Season Ticket renewals the fans need some information as to why they should renew, if this does not happen the club should postpone the deadline till July, so the fans can see the quality of recruits if there are any.

History has shown us that the last succesfull Derby taems at this level with Cox, Smith and Burley have been built on good signings of players at this level of Football, with the odd nugget from abroad Stimac, Idiakez. Nigel Clough can't be judged until he is allowed to buy this quality of player in. This awful board will be permanently unless this is allowed to happen.

Robinson wasnt rejected by Millwall - he wants to leave because he is missing his family in Birmingham.

Just because one club doesnt want a player, or are willing to loan them out doesnt mean they are crap.
