Geez Doff Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 True. Radio Derby just said its been rejected. That should heighten the protests!!!
WilkoRam Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 Timing is everything. No doub that Pete has picked his moment.
CumbrianRam Posted February 14, 2011 Author Posted February 14, 2011 How much? $3? Probably upped his previous bid by 10p.
davenportram Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 I'll wait for the details before making my mind up. Last time he put a bid in didnt we win the next match or two?
Rampant Rob Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 This will only increase the pressure on the yanks. Time for the yanks to go.
StaffsRam Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 Indeed, await the details, although I welcome the news that someone is showing an interest. If the offer provides the current lot with any sort of return on their investment then they'd be as well to take the money and run.
trooper Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 Then again put some boots on him and I'd take that aswel
Briggsy Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 We're still sorting out the last mess he got us in. Why can't we have a happy medium? A board that doesn't over or under spend.
davenportram Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 he had better not up the season ticket prices like he did the last time he took over.

No we're not. You mean we're still sorting out the mess that GSE oversaw in the January transfer window of the Premier League campaign. In the previous stewardship the LoG reduced the debt by about £20m and provided GSE with the means to reduce it even further. Gadsby can't make us into a competitive Premier League team, but right now I'd settle for being a half decent CCC side. At the moment that seems like a million miles away.

We are a half decent CCC side. We're not going up or down.
Rampant Rob Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 With GSE in charge, cutting the wage bill again and again. We may not be in a year or two.
StaffsRam Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 We are a half decent CCC side. We're not going up or down. No, we were a half decent side a couple of months ago, albeit thanks to wins over teams towards the foot of the table. At the moment, but for the points we've already accrued, we'd be candidates for the drop.

Day Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 Derby County would like to clarify its understanding on the statements made today by Mr. Peter Gadsby. Mr. Gadsby has not, as is being reported, made an offer to buy the Club. The ownership group can confirm it recently received a letter from a third party, acting as a representative of Mr. Gadsby. There was no offer made in this letter. In addition, this letter did not specify how Mr. Gadsby intends to involve himself with the Club. The Club's ownership group has responded in writing and has had no subsequent contact with either Mr Gadsby or this third party, prior to today's public comments made through the media. The Club is disappointed but not surprised that Mr. Gadsby has yet again chosen to conduct his affairs through the press. The ownership group remains committed to the Club, remains committed to delivering a winning team on the pitch and will not deviate from the strategy that has put Derby County on a sound financial footing for the first time in many years. http://www.dcfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10270~2293429,00.html
davenportram Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 another unprofessional bid just before some key fixtures in the context of the current season.........I think that is the message the club are putting out.
