WorksopRam
Mods: Feel free to move this... Rumours circulating that Clough has resigned. Apparently a few stewards were telling people after the game. Possibly complete rubbish, or he may have just left early and it's got lost in translation. Anyone heard anything? I think they misunderstood at the time. What he said about holding the club though and hugging it kind of made me think he wanted to end it on the highest he could. StaffsRam
http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/12022011/63/clough-plays-exit-talk.html Picking up on the comment about trying to get people in but other clubs not letting them go - why do we find it so hard? Other teams don't seem to have as many problems as we do in bringing in players.

CornwallRam
From his interviews it is clear that Nigel certainly hadn't walked out at that point. I doubt that has changed. We don't know if Mr Glick has pulled the trigger though, which I wouldn't be suprised at. Takes the heat off the real culprits for a while. MrsRam
that would be going backwards, but then why not Because the bloke hasn't even got his coaching badges yet.......ffs. Be careful what you wish for.
Spanish
that would be going backwards, but then why not well we are going backwards in every dept so why not get the appropriate manager

Much as I don't think he is the right man for the job I hate to see Clough taking all the blame and suffering all the pressure, when the underlying issue is the way this board have strangled the life out of this club with their pennypinching and deceit. GSE OUT!
BBG
I really hope he hasn't walked or been sacked, we dont want a change again, what we need is this board out and NOW. Sick to death of all the Clough haters, clueless to the last the lot of you. Tell me who's gonna take his place and who's gonna improve us ? I've yet to hear an adequate football argument for him to go, big Clough fan but it takes time and a little money, mid table would suit me fine for another year. Yanks out !!! Get behind Nigel

papa_lazarou
The club needs stability. Changing the manager will not help unless there is investment in the squad, which has been mentioned many times before is way Nigel has struggled. Give him some more time, keep the faith! Look at whats happened to both Florest and Fester, they both ended up Div1 before their resurgence and they have both had investment in the squad. None of us on this board in reality understand football management at the this level or the constraints Nigel is working under. It would be a mistake to change now. The team needs strengthening, support and a morale boost.
