Hartley Hare
Depends, Trig. Here's some steps on how to do it if you're using Outlook as your mail client, and you're happy to leave your PC switched on all the time while you're away.... http://email.about.com/od/outlooktips/qt/et_auto_reply.htm Thing is, if you set it up at your local workstation level (i.e. your PC/laptop), then it has to be left switched on and with the internet connected. Some ISP's & hosting companies will allow you to configure your email account(s) on their servers so that when your incoming email reaches the server then the auto-reply is triggered (no pun intended) from there. If you're using Hotmail, here's some instructions on setting that up. http://www.webdevelopersnotes.com/tips/hotmail/autoreply-hotmail.php In short, it's possible but you'd need to tell us a bit more about your email setup. Hartley Hare
Marvellous Just make sure you put something in your auto-reply email to the effect there'll be a BFO guard dog at your place while you're away, wouldn't want someone to get the idea that your place will be empty for a while and ripe for burgling...!
