Nah, not with Addison.

You say that, Addison is getting back to fitness now and playing games. What happens if he hits top form again and gets another England U21 call up, in the summer he's a England U21 player who's contract is up in the summer.

Now I've played Football Manager you see so I know Villa and Blackburn would be interested, Villa usually offer around £5m but with 12 months remaining on his contract I reckon they would offer 500k and Addisons head would be turned.

Nah, not with Addison.

Ah naivety, must be nice to be sheltered by its warm embrace.

Does Addison have sale value? Yes.

Are the board likely to cash in? Yes.

Does Addison have ambition? Yes.

Give me one reason why he would opt to stay here if a prem team team moved in for him.

Ah the voice of the pessimist, how sad it must be to turn everything, no exceptions, into a no hope situation

Was he referring to whether Addison signing a new contract if offered one? Yes.

Was it a dig at Kris 'I want more' Commons? Yes.

Should you get another interest if football makes you this pessimistic? Yes.

Maybe if you took things on face value for once and not look for a deeper meaning and problem then things in life would be a bit better.

It's not naivety, it's an opinion. Just like yours.

I just don't think he'll be going anywhere anytime soon.

Could be wrong, but we'll have to wait and see.

how true....addison has very little value at the moment due to how long he has been injured....but,he will be of high value in the near future ,but, only if clough wants to move him on will he be sold............fact.

Is that the same pessimism that led you to 'adjust' Commons' name?

If Miles puts in a good run for the rest of the season, I expect him to go in the summer. In another post I said for £3m. That's the value I'd place on him but with our negotiating record he'll more likely go for half that.

If we're serious about building for the future, we should offer him a contract now - and a long one at that. Because in Commons we've demonstrated that our wage structure can't keep a player coming to the end of his contract who's clearly good enough to help get us out of the division.

In Commons we have shown that our wage structure cannot compete with one the biggest clubs in Europe, offering Champions Leaguge football almost every seasn and getting home attendnaces of over 40,000.

We also showed by offerign what he initially wanted that our wage structure can accomodate high earners.

Commons was offered £20k a week by Celtic and £15k a week by us. Money being equal, he may have stayed. He may not. We'll never know.

But we didn't match the £20k, which is clearly the market rate for a player of Commons' ability. Therefore anyone coming to the end of their contract will not be offered more than the club's wage cap. So if he's good enough to earn more, he'll go.

You can't build a team by continually letting your best players leave for next to nothing.
