Loans it is then?

First time poster but long time observer on here.

as the title says loans, the dreaded loans that will prob happen and we will be told that they will offer us the best value for money..but for whom?? certainly not for us fans, who buy season tickets, year in year out.

some loans are good but when they return to there clubs and we don't replace them with a similar type player, we as a team will struggle too fill that gap they have left.!!

and 2 or 3 loans in our first team would just make things worse.

I think a couple of loans can be useful to supplement a promotion team or perhaps to stave off relegation when the purse strings are tight, but if we are seriously in the business of building a team for the future, I think we are tending to over-do them or at least in danger of getting into that situation.

As noted above, once their period has expired there is the same gap in the team once again and the team has not progressed, going back to square one.

I'd also argue the vast majority have been mediocre in the extreme that we've used over the past few years, even the decent ones don't seem to have been used to best effect much of the time.

Cardiff have six loans, look where they are in the table.

Loans, if chosen well and if they blend into the squad, are brilliant options.

yes i agree, but if you dont have the option too buy at the end of the loan then u lose that experience and momentum. and you need to replace that somehow, either way its gonna cost money, and in some case's a lot more.

We need signings not short term loan fixes, how on earth are we ever going to move on as a club ??? This board are slowly killing off this once great club, once we were feared now we are laughed at, I cant take much more of this boards false promises and cut price economy !:frown:

Well you can just extend the loan for that season, and buy if you want to.

If not really essential to the team, it's no huge loss if they don't stay.

We have a backbone of a side, or atleast will once we get a prolific striker in, so loans can be slotted into the side or the bench constantly for competition.

Permanent signings can be added when needed, but loans are a very useful tool for a manager in this league.
