yes it is. I didn't slag off Hulse but I slagged Commons off due to the nature of his departure

You can't back up your reasons for being annoyed at his departure, so i'll give you an example.

Ok, imagine your Kris Commons and think 30/40 years into the future. Your grandchildren know you were a professional footballer and being related to you are of a Scottish heritage also. They then go on to ask you what clubs you played for. You tell them, Stoke City, Nottingham Forest, Derby County & Glasgow Celtic. (9 times out of 10, having no doubt being raised in Scotland they will know who Glasgow Celtic are, yes? But it is highly likely they won't know the rest. To Scottish people Glasgow Celtic along with Glasgow Rangers are huge teams, every Scottish footballer wants to play for them.) Your grandchildren then proceed to ask you what made you join such a prestigious team. You tell them that at the time, Derby County were going backwards, with no ambition and that you had worked your socks off all season and they still couldn't offer you the contract you felt you were worth. You then say how Glasgow Celtic came in and offered you the contract you wanted & a chance to play for their team on a regular basis with a shot at European football - something you wouldn't get at Derby County. Finally you tell them how it was to good an opportunity to turn down and you grasped it with both hands.

Do you understand why he moved now?

Hi i am a red but come in peace. Kris Commons left us in very similar circumstance despite declaring his love for his boyhood team and how it had always been his dream to play for us! What a load of bullshit, Kris Commons has no loyalty to anyone, it is all about money. Celtic is just next on his hit list!!!!!

He said he wanted to stay here. He asked for a certain wage. After negotiations we matched what he wanted. He still declined to sign a new contract.

Not the dealings of a trustworthy man.

Build a bridge and get over it. There's little you can say or do to change it, it happened and we should all wish him well.

why did Commons join Derby in the first place?

Nuff said.

I would imagine that apart from being given a good contract it was because he thought he was joining a club that were going to shake off the disappointment of relegation and push on based on the promises made by the board at the time.

And my ***** a bloater! wum.

So he has gone to play in al eague which is p*ss poor because he is scottish (really? Come on) and because he is worried about what his kids will think in 30 years? Oh, and a few quid extra....I think we can dismiss the first 2 can't we?

Well I'll be civil to you even if some of the inbreds in our fanbase can't:)

Kissing the shirt and declaring undying love for the club is a bit of an in-joke with footballers. Some mean it, but some laugh about it in the dressing room because of how fans swallow it up.

And yes, I remember when he signed from you lot, many came on the old DET forum saying he'll hardly play (which he didn't until Nigel got him sorted) and that he'd end up leaving us for a 'golden hello' payment somewhere else at the end of his contract.

They were pretty much right.

I am disapointed to see him go, because we've nobody of his kind of quality left - and unlikely to sign anyone like that for many years to come.

However, he's gone, so I wish people would just take a 'thanks for the good times' attitude and move on.

So what's the talk in Nottingham about this Tyson rumour?

The interesting thing about all this is that he was prepared to join Rangers on the same money as we were offering.

Face it, we aren't much of an atttraction with these clowns in charge of us.

We can't even attract kuqi, a player who's been released by Swansea, even though most fans here would welcome him with open arms.

What's going on with the idots in charge here, we look more and more ameaturish every week?

This bloody club has been like watching a car crash for the last 3 years.

I agree we cant blame Commons, most players have ambitions and these dont look likely to be met at Derby in the near future so he would probably miss the boat.

The past few weeks of underachieving probably made his mind up, OK he lost his form himself in this period but I do think that was partly due to him being shifted back out to the left wing where he has never enjoyed much success at Derby in his time here (seems to prefer the free role).

Nowadays theres hardly any loyalty in football from any of the half decent players, the journeymen types are the one who are happy to stay obviously as not many other clubs would want them in all probability!
