BaianoPOTY98
Ok, the new players in so far seem real good value signings. My one worry is, are we signing good players that are available at a good price, rather than signing good players that fit our system? Yes we will play more than one formation and injuries will play a part, but do we really have a strong starting line up? Just interested in everyone else’s views on this? Osbourn has he been signed as a LWB or midfielder, or both? Kenzo has he been signed as a defensive holding midfielder, box to box or attacking midfielder Adams same as Kenzo Ozou same as Kenzo Jackson Signed as a number nine or one of 3 attackers but playing out wide Yates. I presume a number 9 but unfortunately he’s banned for the first 3 games

Jackson, Osborn, Kenzo and Ozoh seem like good signings, but we need a goal scoring number 9, a winger who scores goals, a number 1, a pacy CB and midfielder who can score goals. Get them and I think we will have a good chance...currently, we will struggle to compete, in my opinion. derbydaz22 and europia 1
thischarmingram
For me we still need to sign a marquee number 9 (for our budget), a first choice winger (still to be convinced that CBT and jackson will have enough end product to be starters) and we know NML can run out of steam. Number 1 GK looks like it’s sorted one way or another before Blackburn and then I think we need another CB to really challenge first choice. Nelson was great last season but I think his last spells in the championship didn’t go all too well for Cardiff and Blackpool? So again I think he needs to re prove himself at this level. These are key in my mind, but still leaves us maybe 3 or 4 short.
Sparkle
We have signed some runners and effort merchants which is fine because our midfield looked very pedestrian last season in my opinion and I am sure we will see a lot of effort this season ( which is a minimum expectation) in terms of defence we know that we are slow footed but is that why we play 3 centre half’s instead of a back 4 to cover for others failings? With a back 4 we looked good defensively whilst a back 3 seemed to leave us unsure and exposed far too often, obviously we need a good goalkeeper. We seem to have an abundance of wide players and can we please play NML in his best position! Which is wide right.Whilst up front we don’t appear to have that centre forward we are confident of scoring goals regularly and holding the ball up or winning headers which would change the whole dynamic of our set up if we had that player, With the best of efforts it seems very difficult to find many goals coming from central midfield with our resources currently. De22Ram
I think were building nicely so far! Warnes said in an ideal world we need 12 signings! Kenzo and ozoh are the type of quality we need to add at this level! Ebou is ebou! The rest are to add depth and a bit of strength imo! If the keeper deal goes through thats not a bad spine if we can add a quality striker as a transfer or loan! zetterstrom cash/nelson kenzo/ozoh ? also bare in mind while it would be nice to storm the championship this season, the main goal is survival for now, so im really pleased with the business done so far! Might be a rocky start though, adding a lot of players it will take time for them to gel and click! Could be november, december until we see what this team can really do! Theres the january window aswell! Up the Rams 🐏⚽️🐏⚽️ Sly, RYRAM and hintonsboots 1

I assumed we played 3 cbs to allow us to have to wingbacks, preferred by Warne. Don't think our back four is necessarily slow-footed either - Nyambe Nelson Cashin Elder

Trust me that was not why I started the thread, I’d checked a couple of pages back and couldn’t see it, so I apologise fella I got it wrong🤪 Crewton
r4derby
Not sure a new keeper starts at Blackburn, especially if it’s the Swede who may not be here until after the last preseason game. Vickers to start. The team hasn’t played a match with the preferred starting XI yet I don’t think.

Warne's most recent interview says that the games up to now have mostly been for getting minutes in the legs rather than looking like what his starting 11 will be. Matches from now on will have a starting 11 that represents the team that will start, or at least close to it.
