Saw an interview with Paul Rudd once who was a New York DJ from the start of the 90's for a good few years. He can't do The Prodigy Fat of the Land and his personal hate is I'm too Sexy which was a constant with hen parties for 2 years.

Anon
I am in complete agreement on Mr Brightside. I don't like the song or the band in the first place, so it's particularly galling that this is played so regularly. It's not maintained popularity, but No One Knows by Queens of the Stone Age was massively overplayed. Chelsea Dagger should carry a death sentence rather than a fine. Alph
I hate the reaction Mr Brightside gets. Everyone thinks it's such an epic song but it isn't. They're all wrong. I like to try and ruin the vibe. Try and make eye contact with people singing along and having a good time so I can psychologically destroy their enthusiasm, hoping one day that the song loses it's status as a floor filler. Pished up people singing the chorus and miming the other verses. SSD, Andrew3000, Wolfie and 2 others 1

Never been a DJ but agree with you that all of them can get in the sea!. For me it's more annoying when it's songs from groups that I really like... So I'd add "Just can't get enough" to my list. I've been a Depeche Mode fan most of my adult life but that's always the go-to song when there are far better ones to play. Same for ABBA and Human League in your list. Cisse
That's a great set of songs but I must admit that I don't think I have ever heard that Mr. Brightside before I just listened it now. admira

Mate of mine was in a covers band. He hated people screaming for this one at kicking out time. Every Time but he hated it. Anon
Gee SCREAMER !!
Any wedding in the 80's You can thank two girls in The Pink Cocunut for the dance to this one that's plagued humanity for 40 years. admira
ramit
Agreed, Come On Eileen is intolerable screeching garbage that gets more excruciating every time it's played. Anything with Madonna. Michael Jackson's Bad is worse than that, it's horrendous, as an ear-worm, it's the stuff of nightmares. Anything with Bon Jovi. Anita Ward's Ring My Bell, for the love of God, change the channel. Opus's Life Is Life is a lethal weapon. Anything with Duran Duran. Anything with Wham. Anything with Adele. Anything with Ed Sheeran. Whitney Houston's I Will Always Love You, decent song, made indecent by note bending ad nauseam. There is more, plenty more, but this will do for now. admira
Mr. P
Glad Mr. Brightside is on that list. Thought I was the only one that hated it. And Sex On Fire, that's equally annoying. Alph, WharfedaleRam and admira

uttoxram75
Come on Eileen is now played at every family get together because Aunty Eileen has passed away. Mum's sister Eileen has a huge family of big drinking sons and grandsons who insist on singing it at full pelt. The next time will be late August at me cousins Ruby wedding at Marstons Social Club in Burton. Hopefully, a few pints of excellent Pedigree will ease the pain.... ramit, admira and Mucker1884

Secondly, it depends who's delivering that power ballad. Memories of my older sister warming the front seat, begging father to turn the radio up a whole lot, he frowning before turning it up a tiny tad. You know you love this, man, but I get your point, I do, stadium rock sucks. Crewton
