Chester40
Ozoh is a proper unit. He stands out as he's so big. We look very very disjointed.
Carl Sagan
Equaliser! 1-1 Collins with a header from a Ward corner. Very nice set piece goal. Excellent delivery to the near post where Collins (maybe still a few yards in front of the goal) directs an excellently timed header in. Chester40
Really look open in this formation. Keep sleeping in midfield and losing possession, look short at the back then.

HorsforthRam
Don’t seem to have any other tactic than trying to get it wide. No triangles or one twos. Shrewsbury much easier on the eye RoyMac5
Eoghan1884
Yates has to give it to CBT there, think these last 2 games it’s obvious the boys have been worked hard this pre season. Will benefit us in the long run but it’s making us look lazy at times. Barkhuizen and Yates not having the best game which makes this system near pointless when the two of the target man can’t link up play.

Maybe to encourage him to do more defensive work? Barkhuizen finished last season in the AM role too For CBT, we must be in the hunt for a LWB as Elder is mostly injured, Fozzy is not a young man, and we likely guaranteed Osborn a midfield role to have him sign. So it would be crazy to buy one if CBT can do the job. I'd suspect he'd be as bad at it, as Barks has been when played there! But, yes, also a good idea simply to encourage some defensive work and build fitness. A shame Barks was able to activate a clause as IMHO he wasn't up to a League One promotion campaign. That AM position is so pivotal, I can't see him ever having it during the Championship campaign. Maybe he's in the shop window to sell him? Chester40
Shrewsbury much more comfortable on the ball in midfield. Derby look dangerous on the break. Think Ozoh is going to be a big part of this season. Osborn anonymous. Tamworthram

HorsforthRam
We’re easy to defend against. Nelson to Ward. He gets closed down. Flick and ball lost. Repeat
Barney1991
We are like a tiny pulls side tbh we are going to heavily rely on set pieces again this season. Not excited to watch 46 games of being dominated by the opposition. Hopefully warne can bring this into his side to at least play some football superfit and HorsforthRam
Chester40
Not a lot of time before the season starts.... definitely lot more needs to fall into place soon. No cohesion or understanding - not surprising obviously. But with more players to still come in, we are clearly a way off where we need to be in the matter of a few days. Collins, CBT, Barks and Yates are not a Championship strike force that's clear. Decent learning experience. HorsforthRam

Barkhuizen is a clever player. He'll do a job finding space others won't. Our centre forward play is too pedestrian. As with Ward you need the right centre forwards or he has too hold the ball too long. The closest we've had too that type of striker was Gayle who always seemed to find space to take the ball quickly. Carl Sagan
HT 1-1 Replayed their goal several times. It is very poor from Vickers. It's a freekick that deflects off the outermost player in the wall and trickles into the corner where Vickers was originally standing. If it were an unforeseen deflection, you might say he's unlucky, but because of who it hits he can watch it onto that player all the way. If it somehow misses the defender in the wall (very unlikely, it's halfway up and into the wall) it's not going in the far corner, so he doesn't have to gamble and commit himself. Yet he effectly rushes over to the side of the goal the wall is covering, and can't even try to get back.

May Contain Nuts
Thought Yates has looked good on the few occasions we gave him the ball. Part of a couple of nice one-twos and lay-offs.
