ram59
That Portsmouth result not only tightens things up, but shows that they're not invincible, with a number of points dropped recently to relegation threatened teams. Turk Thrust

ariotofmyown
Portsmouth have just 5 points from last 5 games. Lost at Bristol Rovers and Cheltenham Drew at Exeter and home to Cheltenham Won home to Stevenage. There would be an apocolypse on here if we had that run of results. 2 points from 3 of the bottom 5. They are also yet to play Oxford yet due to postponements. Not looking too rosey for them, wonder if it's injury related? Edited January 7 by ariotofmyown https://forum.truebluearmy.com/showthread.php?tid=3749 a lot of usual moans, but one post lays out a fair few injuries
Steve Buckley’s Dog
More trouble reported in the household of Bolton’s right back. Apparently his wife decided she wanted to make pancakes so she bought a bag of flour. Said right back pointed out that they already had four bags in the cupboard so this was a waste of money. The atmosphere was already tense after she bought more Christmas lights because they were ‘in the sale’ when in his opinion they already had more than enough and this was an unnecessary expense. There have apparently been some very terse comments leading to an unwelcome frosty atmosphere. Not sure if this is true as the information I got wasn’t very detailed but it might be something that we could take advantage of.
ram59
Bolton's draw today in the cup adds at least one more fixture to their list and they already have one more than we do. Hopefully, the extra fixtures will have an adverse affect on them. ariotofmyown

But when you see us beating Fleetwood and climbing level with Peteborough, whilst they are getting smashed 3-0 by Leeds, feels like we were better off. It could be argued that our cup run cost us our play off place last season, Bird having a lengthy lay off after the 4th round match against West Ham coincided with our bad run. ariotofmyown
Van der MoodHoover
The really clever thing to do would be to put in a half arsed effort in every remaining cup match to focus on the league 👍 TigerTedd, Mick Harford and scout's dad 1 1

Tamworthram
Without diving into actual home and away form for all the teams, it looks like the best hope for today is damage limitation as none of our rivals seem to have too hard a game. Maybe Charlton can do us a favour and beat Peterborough. We'd then move up to third without even playing. 🤞
