This twitter thread matches my impossible wish being that a huge player announces (while still fit enough to play) that he has always been a Ram and his last contract will be on tiny wages at Derby to get them back where they belong out of pure love for the club. 

 

Brilliant @CBRammette I often let my mind wander and think of this……. Or a mate of a mate who knows x y and z. Used to think Ronaldo would play for nowt if he was befriended by a Ram (sounds wrong I know). Never understood why Scholes who took his kids to Oldham didn’t play for free for a season for them, would have smashed it. That fella at WHU who’s a Ram can’t he give us six months?
