Ambitious
When you have a look around, the general opinion, even from level-headed supporters, is that we should be liquidated to serve as a warning to others. It makes you wonder if they would be as subjective should it be their club in this situation. I would suggest not. Pearl Ram
That’s the Morris factor for you. We were largely ignored and possibly admired a little by fans of other clubs before he started his shenanigans. Now, some of those fans want to see us crash and burn. Bravo Mel. ? Crewton
Yeah, I remember the flood of sympathy and support we got from fans of other clubs when we got 11 points and later when QPR cheated and fluked their way to victory at Wembley. Not.
BucksRam
I'm a great believer in everything happens for a reason and that life will balance out. Derby has been stagnating, and, to all intents and purposes heading downhill for quite some time now. How long has it been said we're a PL club etc etc but well over a decade later here we remain. Administration is, I genuinely believe, life's way of saying enough is enough, re-set, go again. As worrying and painful as it all is, I'm taking this as a huge opportunity to make us great again. Even if we do end up in L1 for a season (or two). That's one reason I quite like the look of CK. He's different - we need different. To me, he represents a completely fresh start. He seems to believe in us. Rooney believes in us. So I do too. Ellafella, CBRammette, Miggins and 3 others 2
Alty_Ram
Re the 'City' vs 'AFC' argument. If we were to be called Derby City then I reckon you'd quickly have commentators saying 'And City got back into it when..' or 'City fell behind when..' which would just be weird to get used to. Go with AFC and what happens is everyone just drops the AFC bit and would just say 'Derby'. IMHO of course... Anyway, it's not over yet B4, chin up mate there's still people fighting to save our club. Some of us have been here before when all seemed hopeless and we managed to survive somehow so hopefully a way can be found with a bit of flexibility and pragmatism on all sides. We're not looking to just wipe out the debt and storm back into the top flight waving two fingers at people, we're just trying to find a way that our club can continue to operate, hopefully no lower than League 1. Some kind of deal is going to have to be struck with HMRC if this is to happen though but as long as all parties are still talking there is always hope. Re other teams fans, it looks to me that a certain vocal section of fans want blood but there are also many messages in amongst that even from Bristol City and Boro messageboards that can see that (as always) it is the fans that get the shi**y end of the stick and many (even most) just seem to want to see us take our medicine for a bit not cease to exist entirely. My gut feeling is that the vast majority of other supporters would find it sad to see us liquidated and wouldn’t welcome it. angieram and Carnero 1
