Danny Green - Dagenham & Redbridge

Derby are tracking Dagenham & Redbridge midfielder Danny Green, skysports.com understands.

Rams boss Nigel Clough was an interested spectator for Dagenham's clash with Notts County on Saturday and it appears Green was the reason for his visit.

Clough is a big admirer and decided to cast an eye over the attacking midfielder as he decides whether or not to follow up his interest in the 22-year-old.

Green has established himself as one of the best young prospects in the lower leagues with a number of eye-catching performances and he was instrumental in helping the Daggers win promotion to League One last term.

John Still's side are reluctant to lose Green and they tied him down to a new three-year deal earlier this summer.

Danny joined the Daggers from Bishops Stortford during the 2009 close season.

The right-winger began his career with Northampton Town coming through their youth academy before having a spell at Nottingham Forest. He was signed by Stortford in 2008 after being on the same UEFA B coaching badge course as then Blues manager Martin Hayes.

Danny made his first appearance for the Daggers in the opening day victory at Crewe in August 2009. During the Club's promotion success last season he scored some stunning goals including one in the League Two play off final victory.
