sage
Derby Manager Wayne Rooney's attempt to toughen up his team has backfired again, leaving 3 more players injured. Concerned about Derby's keepers struggling against physical players when coming out for crosses, he beat them with a baseball bat as they tried to catch a cross. David Marshall, Kelle Roos and triallist Ryan Allsop are all out for 2 to 3 months with multiple fractures, leaving Derby with the prospect of not fielding a keeper in the first game of season against Huddersfield. Former United and England ace Rooney is now said to be keen to try a new 'rush back goalie' tactic against Real Betis tomorrow as the Rams continue to prepare for the coming season with 8 fit registered players. Under fire Rams Boss Rooney has now banned the baseball bat from Moor Farm, though he insists this is not an admittance his coaching methods were disastrous. Rooney 35, commented that the baseball bat ban was purely a temporary measure until Colleen calms down. DarkFruitsRam7
When I read the title I genuinely assumed he'd infected three players with Covid after his night on the lash. Ramarena and Leeds Ram

Last time he had a chance of pummeling 3 keepers, he fell asleep. 48 hours, GboroRam and MickD

Dean (hick) Saunders
I guess for a scouser, a bat is a mild implement such as a handkerchief would be in Derby. He could have brought an axe if he was up for a proper scouse rumble.

RadioactiveWaste
But the thing is, Rooney wouldn't resort to using a bat. He'd do it with his fists because he's always fancied himself as a boxer. The fact they were anti-masturbation gloves apparently did not register in his mind despite the laughter and inevitable knock outs whenever he put them on to fight anyone.
